Remarks

Several factors played a role in choosing this college.1. Unable to qualify NEET exam2. Parents economic conditions not helping me to take drop for preparation of NEET3. Good faculties4. Infrastructure5. National Importance College

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum- Appropriate you get basic knowledge of all topics of every subjects in your minor years and IDC course gives you extra knowledge of many topics such as computer programming, electronics, astronomy, environmental, birds behavior etc.Academics- Strict grading system. Very hard to score 10 points there should be some relaxation. Students during their first and second year sometimes face depression due to low grading and backs because they have to study all the subjects like the one who studied biology in their class 12th have to study Maths in their first year and 2nd year and they found it very difficult.Faculties- Top faculties with good research experience from World's best universities such as MIT, Yale, Michigan, Planack's, University of California etc. Some faculties includes Inspire research faculties.

Internships Opportunities

I have done reading projects and summer project in IISER Mohali and these intern haven't provided me any stipend these were for my personal development.

Some of the jobs which students prefer after their 5 year degree when they are not interested in future studies.1. Research department in various industries2. Teaching jobs in coaching institutes.3. Government jobs such as UPSC4. Some go for entrepreneurship.

College Events

5

INSOMNIA- It is the annual cultural fest of IISER Mohali which means sleepless nights and this is also right. It is of generally 3 days event held mainly in January and February. More than 20 institutes and college students participate in this from nearby. A good funding they receive due to it's location adjacent to the beautiful city Chandigarh. Science fest is also part of this fest.Extracurricular activities- Every week activities are organised by various clubs of our college. There are near about 20 clubs. DJ night's are organised on every festival which is one of the best event I likes most.Diwali, Holi and all major festivals are celebrated in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

KVPY, INSPIRE and state level scholarship are some of the scholarship students receive. I have no scholarship and no loan as I was not able to qualify KVPY and also I was not in board top performers.

Campus Life

Sports Facilities - Advance sports facilities. 2 courts each of basketball, volleyball and tennis. One combined stadium of Cricket and Football having sitting capacity of near about 1000 having flood lights in stadium. 5 badminton courts. One table tennis court. Kabaddi and Kho kho court. No swimming pool.Wifi- Good speed wifi connection. Every student has one personal wifi key which they can access from anywhere in the college.Library- World class modern library. It's a 7 floor library with installed comfortable sofas on every floor. All books which are required in academics available. A rich collection of novels and journals. Subscription of some of the best online journals available to all students for free. Seminar room and discussion rooms are there where you can prepare for your any interview or talk.Equipment in Lab- There are two academic blocks in the college which are totally devoted for labs. Where each scientist have their personal lab having modern and very costly equipments. Some of the equipments have price more than 1 crore. Very high cost telescopes are available in the labs. Animal Facility is there in college where mouse's and snakes are kept for research purposes. One Central Analytical Facility where very sensitive equipments are kept where work is done during night time as they are very sensitive to noise. Highly sensitive X-rays labs are there in CAF building.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels - There are total of 4 hostels of 8 floors each named as Hostel-5, Hostel-6, Hostel-7 and Hostel-8. There are combined hostels of both boys and girls. Vertically hostels are divided halfs between boys and girls. Lifts are there in the college.Rooms- For first two years you get shared rooms with one of your classmate. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course will be completed on time, but you'll not get taught as you expected. The teaching techniques are boring, and you'll have difficulty. They charge you 2000 rupees as late fees for submission and so on, for the late exam fees as well. There are a lot of unnecessary fees that they will apply once you get admission there

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
