Remarks

The admission process is totally a merit-based system i.e. the higher scorer of the 12th board gets a top priority. Though this year it was quite biased as it was procured on an average of 10th 11th and 12th marks. The form filling process and the documentation process are quite easy as a separate portal gets provided to each and every student where they could check the status regularly. The application details and last dates are provided in the Delhi university websites and needed updates are made from time to time, to provide the students with the necessary information. I feel that the admission process could be followed by a personal interview, because of which the students could be filtered on an overall basis and not just the problem solving or mugging up skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The academic department of the college is really active and efficient in its work. It prepares the students not only for the University examinations but in all practical fields as well. I chose economics honors as my course firstly because economics had always been my field of interest, and secondly as this is the most emerging mode of course and studies as data analysis is the only task still not easily performed by AI or computer. In the economics department, there are many professors in this department itself. The professors are really qualified and helps the students overall The college examinations are conducted semester wise and sometimes preparatories are conducted as well. The examinations are not so difficult for someone who has studied from the very first, but someone who started studying just before the tests might face a little problem.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Some of the major recruiting companies are Decathlon, S&B Global business, De shaw &co, byjus etc. The interning companies providing roles varying from human resource, to marketing managers and from content writers to IT techs. The stipends range from 3k-5k per month and the students are provided with enough flexibility to cope up with their studies.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements of the college is above average, providing good packages to its students. A placement cell is active to consistently bring opportunities to its students. The students of 5th semester have complete liberty to be able to participate in placements, whereas internships can be picked up by first semester students too. The average package stays from around 4-5L lakhs per annum, whereas the highest went on to 8-9L p.a. A minimum of 60-70% of students gets placed every year and it is minimal that the statistics is increasing continuously. I personally plan to work for a total of 12-14 months and then go on to pursure post-grad MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is a value for money, as it provides a great learning experience and an amazing campus at very budget-friendly fees. The college also provides different types of scholarships to its students, funded by the University of delhi. Besides this, internships are provided by the placement cell from time to time and even top companies visit the campus for placements ranging from high to very high salary options.

Campus Life

3.5

Satyawati college has its own fest, celebrated with great honor and excitement among the students. A lot of celebrities are brought about and events are conducted for the students. The college and campus life are amazing with lots of events and seminars being conducted on a regular basis. The socities of the college are really active and students participate consistently to keep up the welfare of the college. There is a separate sports department in our college which holds a great role in the physical development of students and to promote sports in a major sector. The classroom is neat and well maintained and equipped with all the resources needed for a Student. Different examples of societies are Enactus, Cdf, Saksham, Eartha, Abhivyakti,3rd act, RAW.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

Placement Experience:

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.
