Entrance Preview

I have appeared for Lateral entry entrance after completing my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. I was among those 4 candidates who clear that exam. This college was in the my home town which made me join that college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure was very good. We could cover every aspect of Mechanical Engineering. We had a good library. We had good labs. We had Thermodynamics, Machine Design, Vibration, C & C++, Auto-cad, I C Engine, Heat Transfer etc.

Internships Opportunities

For B.E student we got a stipend of 1600 per year. For M.tech Student it was like 11000 Per year. For Phd. Students the stipend was approx 30000 per annum.

Exam Structure

We had a semester based exam Structure. We had to appear for theory and oral exams. The scoring was 80 for Theory & 20 for oral or each subject. We had 200 marks of project submission. The exam days were very hectic & stressful. We had to study hard to pass our exams.

Faculty

Faculties were of good qualities. He had a dedicated faculty for each & subject. They were well qualified. We had 10/12 faculties. All of them having a PhD. degree. The Lab faculties were also good & helpful. They had a very good knowledge about all the equipment in the lab. Teachers are very authoritarian.

Placement Experience:

The placement in our college could certainly improve and the student body alongside the Placement Cell are working on that. Oftentimes a lot of MBA graduates get the highest package and oftentimes students from BTech get the highest package

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many compines visit in our college like tcs, ibm, jio, Infosys. The highest Pacakedge is of 40 lpa and average package is 8.5 lpa .30 percent of students get placed

If i say it clearly. You can apply for internships even after 1st year or semester but what really matters is time if you are dedicated for that the please do it But ideally you are applicable for on campus internships from 3rd year. After my bTech degree i am planning to pursue MTech in EE

Best technical institute in Tripura

Placement Experience:

Every year placements happen and about 80 percent of the total students of the institute get placed in various dream tier and other companies with good packages. The packages depend on year to year, more specifically on hiring trends. I still did not make a decision for my post degree plans.

Eyeopener

Placement Experience:

From third year students are eligible for campus placement and internships. Many companies visit like Microsoft , CISCO , L&T , Mahindra etc . Highest package offered was 52lpa in tech and 20lpa in core and average package is 9lpa. Around 75% student get placed . My plan is to do M.tech by qualifying GATE exam .

Life in Nit Agartala

Placement Experience:

Placements are good enough if you if your skills are much better than others if your CG is at least above them 8.5 then you will definitely get a good package so many companies comes to our college including Microsoft Google Amazon etc.. highest package of last year is 68 lpa

NIT Agartala is one of the most prettiest colleges in India!!

Placement Experience:

From Gaya Steel, to JK Tyres and companies involved in production were the ones who gave us placements. On and average production engineers at our college were paid around 4-5 lakhs a year. The lowest of all but still in top corporate houses as no start-ups are into production. This established names where the one who gave us placements.

JOURNEY TO NIT AGARTALA

Placement Experience:

The market is down these days so placement is not very good but yeah i would say its average not that bad. In 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements and company starts visit to campus. Sicne the placement season just started so the process is going on but yeah deollite, oracle, sigmoid, globallogic and many more came and offer jobs. The highest package on campus is nearly about 23lpa which is offered by British Petroleum and average package may vary from 10lpa to 14 lpa. Almost 96% student got placed every year rest are seeking for higher studies and appear in Gate exams. I will take job and start my corporate journey.

placements are moderate in this college. many seniors got an opportunity of internship in google and different prestigious companies. you can be eligible for internships and placements in 5th semester. i thing highest pacake if 70 lakh from google and 12 lakh is average package from computational mathematics branch. and recently 22 lakh package has been taken by our senior by phonep company. i just want an internship in my 3rd year in an tech company and want to get placed in the 4th year. I thing above 90% students get placed in our college

Eyeopener

It is long journey of hard work how i get in this college and course . First I qualified JEE main but not got good rank so I got Biotech branch in NIT Agartala according to my rank . But I studied well in first year and scored a high CGPA and slided my branch to Mechanical . I have in all top NITs but not got a ceat there . Admission is only through JEE main rank . JOURNEY TO NIT AGARTALA

When I was applying to collleges, I appeared for JEE Mains and applied to other NITS and IIITS , My aim wwas to secure admission in reputed national institutes with good placements. I got admission in NIT Agartala(ECE Branch),which i chose over other colleges because of NIT brand value, national-level peer group, alumini network. I couldn't make it to the top tier NITS and IIITS as my JEE rank was slightly higher than their cutoff range. The competition is extremely tough and even a few marks can make huge difference in rank. The admission process is conducted through JoSAA/CSAB councelling based on score, For btech admission,JEE main is the accepted and most prefrred exam. The basic eligibilty is passing 10+2 wiht Physics ,Chemistry and Maths. Cutoff vary depending on category and branch.
