Remarks

The eligibility of the course is available on the internet. The application form is released almost at the same time the DU application forms are released. Course fees change every year, but the average can be known online. The admission process was a little different from that of the other DU colleges. After the first and only cutoffs were released, the college contacted the applicants to call them for the interview. Since I availed the reservation for Non CNI Christians, the cutoff for the course was lower for me as compared to that for the general applicants. Those who cleared the interview were directly given admission to the college, and the subsequent vacancies were filled by the applicants waiting on the waiting list, which was based on merit. The admission process was better than the other DU colleges because the Personal Interview round is a better way of assessing an applicant, rather than judging his/her brilliance only by their academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was the best for me since I wanted to get into the field of research. Throughout the course, I received excellent training, which I am sure will be helpful in the career I am pursuing. The faculty to student ratio is much higher than in other colleges, and there are enough professors for the students to go to with doubt or clarify a topic. The professors are mostly alumni of the college, who have worked hard and come back to keep up the legacy of the college. They are highly qualified, and they use a variety of teaching methods. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester. The exams can't be considered tough, and a student can score marks above average with one or two months of serious studying.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Two modes of internships are offered to the students: Remote Internships and Summer Internships. The remote internships are available throughout the year, whereas the summer internships are available during the summer vacations decided by the university. Companies such as Oxford University Press and Hindustan Unilever Limited offer internships to students. Most of the students applying for the internship are accepted for small posts in the companies.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students are eligible for placements after the 5th semester ends. Many companies offer placements for all the students, irrespective of the course. Many famous companies, such as Morgan Stanley, and McKinsey and company recruit students from the college for placements. The highest base value package for the year 2020-21 was 25LPA, and the average base value package was 8.8LPA. Most of the students who apply for the placements are accepted. This is because most of the students opt for higher studies, rather than placement. Some students, due to family issues, opt to take the placements. After the degree, I also plan on taking the placement offered by the college, because I am currently suffering from a financial crisis.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is different from other DU colleges. Since the college offers more facilities, the fee is higher than other DU colleges. But the college is also known for the scholarships and placements it offers. There are numerous scholarships for SC/ST students, and students belonging to EWS. There are also many scholarships on the basis of merit.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is the best in the college. The numerous societies in the college conduct many fests and events throughout the year, which gives all the students equal opportunities to shine. The college also has a very spacious library with a wide range of books. The classrooms on the campus are spacious, well lit and air conditioned. The college has a variety of sports to offer for the students, which includes football, cricket, basketball and frisbee. Many alumni of the college have made a legacy for the college by participating in sports at the national level. Societies make college life worth it. As a member of the Music Society of the college, I have had many opportunities to shine, and this has helped me grow as a person. Many other societies, such as the Social Service League are very active in the college.

Interview Experience

4.5

The college has an interview round right after the release of the cutoffs. The interview is taken by six teachers, who ask questions on various topics related to the course you are opting for. For the Christian applicants, a set of bible questions are asked along with the subject related questions. The applicants are also asked about their goals in life, what they aspire to become. They are also asked (in detail) about their hobbies. The most important preparation for the interview is getting the topics of class 11th and 12th clear in your mind. You should answer all the questions smartly, and try to answer as many questions as possible. Christian applicants should get their biblical concepts clear.

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.
