Remarks

The admission process was simple. I was just required to give an entrance exam and I was selected through it and I don't know anything about reservation benefits as I didn't apply for it. Improvement should be that there should be a classified section for applying everything.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is good and very knowledgeable for a language subject. The exams are taken in 3-4 sections per semester. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate. The faculty members are indeed very frank and skilled in nature.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship in the College is quite okayish. The cell is not so okay and the response is not that quick. I applied for many internships in the College but got responses from a few of them, so it is responsive but not that active.

Placement Experience

3.5

The 3rd Year students are applying for placements. The companies which have come here for placements are Amazon, Facebook, Google etc. The highest package offered to a student is approximately 7 lacs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of Jawaharlal Nehru University is very cheap and affordable. My course fee is approximate 2500. This doesn't include books and all. There is no knowledge about scholarships as I've received it till now.

Campus Life

4

Sports activities in the College is mild. It is not so active here. Many social groups and clubs are present there according to the society students join. The Library of the college is indeed very good and enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
