Entrance Preview

People of karnataka need to write CET & others have to write COMEDK. My rank was 40191. & I chose this college in the second counselling as this was the best in the list of available colleges & also I didn't have any particular branch in mind for which I would choose another college.

Internships Opportunities

There are internship opportunities every now & then. Most of them are stipend-less. I don't know the name of companies as i never attended these things. However internships are good for a reason to legitimately bunk classes.

Placement Experience

Placements are actually good in this college. Accenture, Cognizant, TCS literally hired people in trucks. These 3 are the bulk recruiters. Then there are wipro, tech mahindra, Bosch, Capegemini, Titan, amazon etc. Average required aggregate criteria for companies is 60%. Some require around 65-70. Some don't even require anything. So there's a good mix of companies for a good mix of students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive for COMEDK guys. Its around 2.2L (without hostel). For CET guys its around 50-60k without hostel. Don't know the reason of this HUGE difference. & it exponentially increases every year. There are other types of fees that we have to give in the final year which amounts to around 10-15k.

Alumni/Alumna

There's no such alumni network. Even if there is i'm sure hardly anyone knows about it. If you approach any senior or passout all of them are helpful unless they are an A-hole on a personal level.

Exam Structure

Internal exams - 3 days, 6 subjects, 1 hour 25 marks per subject. This is held once in a month for 3 months. Best of 2 internals are taken & averaged. Minimum required average per subject is 15 External (end-sem) exam is held in December for odd sem & in June for even sem. 100 marks per subject Passing marks is 35. Thus internal+external minimum marks required for one to pass in the subject is 50.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I applied to many college like sjbit,global ,jnnce,pes,rv,bms and many more They above were all need a higher grade than what I had scored. Jss was near to my home and i had a direct bus root for the college and it has a big campus and a lot of good grades form the students to back it up I couldn't get into bms ,pes or rv because my grades weren't good enough. I chose this college because it's near to my house and I personally feel it's better than all the colleges in the vicinity, which includes RNSIT and SJBIT.
