Course Curriculum Overview
The course is pretty chill with not much load for attendance. You could focus on your side skills and try to develop them. You will find many students preparing for exams like GATE and GRE. The teachers are avg. like in all colleges, some are extremly helpful while some are just existing.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided but majority for Top branches like CSE and IT. Students from other branches should maintain good profiles on websites that provide internship opp. You would get internships mostly in your third year.
Placement Experience
You would pay around 6 lakhs for your whole course including hostels and mess. the avg pakage is generaly around 3.5 to 4 lpa. now this amount might not look good but if you compare it with fees..then the Return on investment you get is really good especially if you are from CSE, IT and ECE. Mech and EIE students have avg pacakge of 2.5 to 3.5.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is the best thing about HIT. You could complete 4 years of your B.tech in just 6 lakhs and get a decent job with decent pay if you work hard ( branch dosent matters much). The return of investment if quite good here.
Campus Life
Spread in around 72 acers HIT provides quite a good campus life, better than most colleges in Kolkata. There's a library an auditorium and a small ground. You will also find clubs of your interest, if not so you could always start your own club.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are not so good I would say. they are old and the infrastructure is not up to the mark. Food is good if you are from the east. you could always order kinds of stuff from outside. Hostels provide enough to stay peacefully for 4 years of your btech.
