Remarks

I completed my class 12 with 56.6% and i applied for quota in sikkim human resource development department for admission in sikkim manipal institute of technology and i got selected for general quota in SMIT east sikkim over there was a lot of different colleges in option but i opted for SMIT as it is in my home town and the college is very good in acedamic records over the year.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this college beacuse i got it through quota seat,faculties of our department are so much helpful and caring and provide us with all the acedamic facilities they could,teachers are of masters and phd level ,it is not that tough to pass in our college because we have monthly quizes and sessionals which helps us to score a very good marks in internals and for externals teachers prepare us in such a way that we can score avery good percentage.

Class Size: 8Course Fees: INR 317000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am from Sikkim I have a residential certificate of the state and I have done my schooling from Sikkim itself which has given me an oppurtunity to get a quota seat in SMIT. as the overall fees per annum is 417000 including mess and hostel since I have to give one lakh less in overall fees because of quota. if any student scores above 95% and above in class 12 they can directly apply for a scholarship in college and they will get some concession in overall fees.

Campus Life

The annual fest name is kaalrav which held in every year, tech fest also held on Campus itself according to the department which brings more energy in the students to take part in different activities, there is a central library where we get all the sources, for example, all the recent journals, newspapers, previous year question paper for practice. There is a lot of dancing, singing, skit groups in college.

Hostel Facilities

hostel room is a very good part of college life which helps us to meet with peoples from a different state and makes family, the mess is inside the hostel and the food over there is hygenic and tasty and the people over there are so friendly. The hostel is affordable and reasonable. we can get easily pg near the campus in and around.

first impressions

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. companies in which some of the big names are DELL, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, STATE STREET, KEYSIGHT TECH . The highest package is 54 LPA (google) and avg package was around 4-5 LPA. 80% students get placements. my plan is to pursue m.tech

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem the campus placement starts so sutdents gets plenty of time to prepare for placements The company being visited to the campus includes Mercedes Benz India, Maruti Suzuki, Microsoft etc Hightest package ranges upto 33 lakhs and average include upto 5lakhs College offers 100% placements except Civil My plans is to get some of the working experience with the company being placed

Yeah replacement system I am not family or with this placement in all because had just recently join not just recently it's been like one and half year but also in placement system I am not focusing on that side because you know what I don't rely on this college I just need degree from this college and just want to be independent and search for job business on my own this collage is just waste of time still I am saying this tho I cannot do anything about this because I am already in second year so if I leave this college now I have no other option to do better option to do so I am I am stock in this college you can say and replacement system everything is just fine not so much good not

Placement Experience:

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

Review of NIT Sikkim

Placement Experience:

If you are capable enough you will be getting decent placements, Overall placement statistics lies about 80-90% with an average pacakage of 9-10 lacs per annum including 90-95% for CSE, ECE. EEE and almost 80-85% for core branches like Mechanical and Civil. Some of major past recruiters are CDAC, CDOT, BEL, VEDANTA, DELOITTE, MAHINDRA, MARUTI SUZUKI, UKG, GENPACT, BPCL, L&T, ALSTOM, NVIDIA, MICROSOFT, SLB, TERADATA, CGI and many others. Highest pacakage for the batch of 2023-24 was 44 LPA by NVIDIA and average was around 9.95 LPA. From start of the 7th semesters , the students can register themselves for placements and from 5th semester onwards student can register themselves for internship opputunities. NIT Sikkim also provide opportunities of highes studies like PhD from reputed institutes like IIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi and some other prominent institutions as well.

NIT Sikkim overall review

Placement Experience:

I was selected in for Downtown university but for my personal ease i choose to study in SMIT. No i was not being rejecte form any colleges. Due to some of my personal problems i decided to joing SMIT as wishing to study at the college situated over my own state.
