Remarks

My admission is through Pessat exam conducted by University in online mode. Criteria for admission is greater than 80% of score in PCM in 12 th class and student has to qualify in the exam conducted by the University. Rankings will be given based on the student performance in the exam. Management will schedule 2 rounds of counselling in which your rank in Pessat is criteria for getting desired seat and desired branch. During the 1st round of counselling which is a transparent process , each student will be called and shown the number of seats available for each branch. Student has to select the desired branch and a receipt will be issued as a confirmation of the same. Welcome kit and goodies will be provided after the successful seat allotment.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am very much interested in computer science engineering also heard that this is the right place for computer science folks in terms of placement and higher studies. Each class will have 60 members of students in it. Usually 1 faculty for 1 subject will be allocated to 2-3 sections which hardly comprises of 120-150 students. Most of the faculties did their PhD and masters in the respective domains. Internal exam will be conducted once in the span of 40-50 days Similarly internal exams takes place twice in a semester and final exams during the end of semester. It's a well designed course and student friendly curriculum. Student will be given more than enough time for preparation and other activities.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities will be provided from 6th semester typically in two ways. 1. Inside the college (working under some professor) 2. Working for a company In both the cases you will be getting stipend if you are having good knowledge. Stipend varies from 10000 to 70000 per month. Credits will be awarded by the University based on the number of months a student done his internship. Each student has to meet the specific number of credits for successful completion of undergraduation. Incase of not getting internship , you will be suggested to opt for different courses offered by the University and prepare accordingly to fulfil the credits. It gives us very good experience and knowledge during our internship and I find it very helpful.

Placement Experience

4

Placements is the key attribute for any college. Similarly for our college , placement and internship starts from 6th semester for all branches. Roughly there were arround 150-200 companies visited our campus during my undergraduation. Dream companies like apple , Microsoft, Amazon also visits our college. Highest package offered was 40 lakh per annum during my undergraduation and least will be 2.5 lpa. For the placement criteria , having a cse or ECE background helps you a lot as most of the companies visit for the tech jobs. And maintaining an aggregate of 8.5 gpa makes you to eligible for all companies and chances of shortlisting will be reduced proportionately to the gpa. On an average , each individual will be getting 6-7 lpa by the end of their academic career. 80% of the students got placed before their final exams. Others will be opting higher studies or other degrees based on their interests.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure during my graduation for those who came from Pessat exam is 3 lakh per annum. Basically the fee structure is divided into 3 categories namely Pessat quota , kcet quota and management quota For the students who came from Pessat will be having 3 lakh per annum irrespective of their branch during my undergraduation that is 2017-21 For the students who came from kcet quota will be varied from 30000 to 1 lakh depends on their caste and other aspects. For the students who came from management quota will be having different fee structure for diff branch. As far as I am aware that the fee structure for cse management quota is 8 lakh during my undergraduation and 5-6 for other branches. Coming to the scholarships , student will be awarded for 2 scholarships every semester for which they should be able to score 8.5 GPA in that semester and the other scholarship will be given for top 3 students in the University. It is also proportional to fee paid by various quotas

Campus Life

4

Campus Life very engaging , friendly. They will be organising many fests individually but on an annual records they will be conducting a huge event 1-2 times an year during the month of March and April. And many science fests also happens during the academic days and many students participate proactively. Coming to the availability of books in library , it's open everytime and has the option to take to home by submitting your id card for scan. Many sports events also occurs. Students across different universities comes and compete with us. Students themselves as well voluntarily runs many groups and clubs as far as the events are concerned. We can have all round development from all these activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is provided for both men and women. Mens hostel will be with in the University and women hostel will be outside nearby the university. Special buses also provided for women from hostel to university. For men , hostel consists of different blocks which is separated based on year and fees criteria. The fee Structure varies from 1 lakh to 125000 based on the block you choose. The highest one will have 3 persons per room , attached bathroom for every room with geyser provided. Whereas an average hostel room contains 1-3 members based on their blocks, internet and laundry facility is available for everyone within the hostel fee. Coming to the food accommodation, again there will be three different kinds of mess namely hostel mess , north indian mess , food court . Respective food coupons will be allocated to each hosteler monthly. Out of these three, food court is open to everyone and kind of canteen where you can eat by paying or with food coupons, remaining two for hostelers

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
