I am applying for st Xavier's Kolkata due to it being the best college for computer science. My admission through the general quota because you need domicile of this State for reservation category quota The admission through the Kolkata University fill the Chanchal portal this institution and select the branch and submit it's then University released merit list. Have your name on the merit list then you admission to respectively institute in this University.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I am interested in this subject in school time I learn computer language but I didn't qualify jee mains exam then I decided to choose this course. The facilities are too well most of the faculty are Bangali due to state government policy the student ratio to small due to several seats. Exam times are 3 hours for each subject (expect practical exam).
Internships Opportunities
Bajaj finance are giving some projects for selected students to sell our services in locality people give some commission and certificates and sometimes give jobs for best students who can sale more services during the course of the projects.
Placement Experience
In the last six months of the end, of course, some local companies are come to this college and offer jobs and packages but packages are low only a few of students are placed in this college. I didn't know any but all are local companies just like Bajaj finance airtel India etc. Packages are not too high not too low 2-3 lakh per annum packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are high but it's doesn't affect you because you are able to pay this fee only 20000 per semester fee including all extra charges. The scholarships are provided by the Bengal government only for domicile state people outsiders are not able to apply for state government scholarship but national scholarship portal are available for all students.
Campus Life
Only Christian community fests are organized in this college no Hindu festivals are organized in this college but clubs are celebrating different types of the fest and cultural activities. Availability of books and library are available in this University but you can borrow only one book for an only 15 days after 15 days library charge extra money. Sports activities are not organized in this college only Indore games are available at this University.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are available only for the state Cristian community only recommended by the church father no one student are allotted a hostel for outsiders. Meals are not too bad but not too goods you can eat food. PGs are available outside the college most of the students are staying in pg, not in the hostel.
