Remarks
I had only given jee exam and the basic eligibility criteria is anybody who is above 16 and who has passed the class 12th exam with 75% or will going to pass the exam in the same year with 75%. In jee you have to give 2 exams first is mains and the second one is advanced. once you clear the main exams then only you will be eligible to sit for the jee advance. students who clear jee mains only will be eligible to take admission in nits based on their rank in jee mains and students who clear jee advanced too will be eligible for nits and IIT's in India. now let's talk about the admission process - So, after the results are declared there is a counseling round that is called JOSAA. there is a total of 7 rounds in counseling rounds in which we were supposed to fill which branch and college we want according to preference and our rank on jee. the college will be allowed. after allocation of process, the college will tell you to come for physical reporting for final admission in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Frankly speaking who doesn't want to get a computer science branch in NITs okay move on to the next point my overall experience with the faculty member has been good. like all other colleges here also you will find a mixed variety of faculty member some are of inclusive nature some explains concept as many time we want and some only come to write on the whiteboard that's all. In my class there is 74 students in total in which 14 are girls i know the ratio is not that good but what can you except else? one more point all the faculty member is IIT, NIT graduates. In every semester you will have two exams one is midterm and end-term midterm is of 30 marks and end-term is of 60 marks and rest 10 marks is of practicals .its easy to score good marks in these just revise your notes properly and get in touch with a respective faculty member and they will guide you further
Placement Experience
placements is average in our college. companies like Samsung tcs tata optimum visits for the recruitment. also, i think many companies will not like to go very far from their office as Srinagar is located in Jammu and Kashmir and we all know what perspective we all have about this state in our head. The highest placement offer is 72 lakhs for our college and the average is about 7-8 lakhs. This year almost all the students from cse branch have been placed and this is remarkable. if not on campus then i will go for campus opportunities and try to grab that for my survival that's it nothing more i have in my future plans.
Fees and Financial Aid
So, overall fees consist of- tuition fees - 65000 for students having family income above 5 lakhs, 23333 for students having family income between 1 to 5 lakhs and 0 for family income below 1 lakh. mess fees - 17000 for the left amount in this will be credited to the next month hostel fees - 14000 for all you can get various scholarships based on the states in which you are living or based on 12th marks and the procedure is super easy college will provide you the form you will have to just fill that form attach the required documentation and submit it to them and you are ready to go. various internship opportunities will also come in the 3rd year of college with a minimum stipend of 10000 and also various good companies such as Samsung optum Gail bhel come in the final year for placements with a base salary of 10 lakhs.
Campus Life
so there is an annual fest called nexus which is organized every year in which you will have a lot of fun. you can perform in various events such as dancing singing modeling and a lot more there is one coding club also called semicolon where you will get to interact with your seniors. there is a well-facilated library in which you can issue only 3 books for general students and 6 books for sc st students. you will have a well-facilated gym there is badminton, basketball and volleyball court so you can enhance your playing skills
Hostel Facilities
so for boys, the hostel facility is good but for girls, it is worst than anything. in the first year of college we have to stay with 6 other girls in the same room. we couldn't even study properly. we have to use old almirah that has been used by boys so yeah hostel facility is not that good for girls. I would say the mess facility is okay. you get 3 times meal that is breakfast, lunch, and dinner. and the quality is also fine. i don't think any parents would allow their kids to stay at pg however you can stay there is lot of options.
