Through K-CET entrance exam got admission to NIE. My CET Engineering Rank is 4962. I opt NIE because of it's Teaching quality and Campus Placement.

No, internships are conducted but not stipend. Many workshops like ROBO-FIFA, ECE-Fest are conducted by the EC department.

NIE is known for it's Academic excellence and Campus Placement. The Placement percentage is around 90+% in 2015-16. The Placement starts in 7th semester. Around 10+ core companies (EC) and around 25+ well known software companies come to campus placement drive. Campus Placement Cell is student friendly.

NIE Tech Fest is an annual event conducted across all branch. It takes place for 3 days, Cultural events will start from 6 PM for 3 days. Many programs like code hacking, puzzle solving, treasure hunt are conducted. NIE ECE Fest is conducted annually by ECE Department- Many Programs like ROBO-FIFA, puzzle solving are conducted.

NIE provides plenty of scholarships for consistent academic performer, top academic performer for each year. Apart from NIE scholarship many government scholarships are also available like MHRD scholarship, Fee-concession scholarship.

NIE campus life is good. It has Cellular stationary, park, canteen, auditorium, good class rooms, each room has projectors. Gender ratio in EC branch is 50:50, but overall the gender ratio is 38:50.

Alumni network and senior students are helpful. Alumni network gives news about recent activity took place in NIE, Mysore. It keeps us updated about NIE college. It helps to grow NIE network across country.

The Exam structure consists of 3 Internals for 25 marks of which best of 2 internal marks are considered for final total score. The main exam is for 100 marks which includes theory paper and practicals. 50% of the Main exam score is added to the 2 internal marks to get final score for 100 marks. The progress card consists grade point between 0-10 (not percentage or marks).

I attended K-CET entrance exam. K-CET is Karnataka-Common Entrance Exam, this exam is common for Admission to Medical and Engineering Professional Degrees and is conducted by Karnataka P U Board. Once PU Board declares 2nd PUC results and K-CET Entrance Exam Ranks.Based on Merit PU Board will Call for Counselling to allocate admission seats in opted Colleges.

Teaching standards/Methodologies are good. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. Teaching faculties are student friendly and are approachable for any academic doubts. Teaching faculties are punctual, disciplined and are strict in student attendance maintenance.
