I was interested in Engineering and coding and wanted to step into the IT industry. The faculty student ratio is 20:1. Most of the faculty members have completed their Phd and some are there with the Masters degree. Some faculty members are even the alumni of the college itself.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 1700000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are also good in MIT Manipal. Although its my first year only, I don't have a much detail about it. But the placements are good as I heard from the seniors. Many top companies visit here including Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Goldmann Sachs and many more. More than 80% students get placed. The average package of a CS/IT student is 10lpa .

Life of manipal is pretty cool. In fact, because of the amazing campus life, its known as the student hub. There are a lot of clubs in MIT and the infrastructure is excellent. Its one of the best engineering colleges in India in terms of infrastructure.

Admission

Yes, there was Manipal Entrance Test that consisted of total 200 questions. Out of the total, 50 were of physics, 50 of chemistry, 70 of maths, 30 of aptitude. Method of preparation - NCERT books are a must.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement for our batch started from 3rd sem. 1 company has visited that is LSEG. The company avg package of 5LPA. The results of the interview process is still not been announced. My plan is to get placed in a good company soon after completing my mba.

My days in RGUHS

Placement Experience:

Students were eligible for campus placements through 3rd year final exams. Various hospitals like Columbia Asia, Manipal, Asian Hearts, Max Hopital offered placement to our Students with an average package of aroung 3 to 4 lakhs. Around 25 Students got placement on campus interviews in different hospitals. My plans are to persue for higher studies after my degree and I'm looking forward to it.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

My honest review: College life, curriculum and career preparation

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.
