Remarks

BIT Mesra is one of the top two engineering colleges in India in private category right now. Also because I had qualified in NEET so I didn't had to sit for any other examination in this college. Also I am from Ranchi so it's near to my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Food Technology is a course which has very good future prospects. Includes both engineering and biology which makes it even more interesting to study. Also it's different the courses which have been made stereotypes by people. Faculty to student ratio is 1:12 on an average including all batches of our course. Faculties are quite qualified, our dept has mostly IITians. Teaching method is good specially for lab subjects. First year was the non departmental year so was a little difficult to pass. 2nd year was easy to pass except for some subjects. In general it's easy to pass but difficult to score.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

No summer internship for our course is not available through our college training and placement cell we need to look for it on our own.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements for our course is there but not at a surplus level. Overall employability is good but 60% is off campus. Students can apply for in campus through college training and placement cell. Off campus placements are also there. Overall employability including both on and off campus placements is more than 90%.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is submitted every semester. In every year the fees for both the semesters will be same. It will gradually increase with every passing year. GP birla scholarship is given to those students every year whose parents income is less and they have scored GPA above 7.5 in their semester exams. If talking about placements, the companies which come to the campus to hire students from our course generally come in the month of April-May. The two companies to be mentioned are Nestle and ITC.

Campus Life

4.5

Life is really good. If talking about boys hostel, first year two people need to share one room. Right from the 2nd year everyone gets their own personal room but washrooms are common. Annual fest is BITOTSAV, Tech fest is Pantheon and lot of other activities keep going on and on throughout the year. Lots of clubs are there for these activities. Music club, dance club, NCC, NSS, Leo club, Literary Club, Photography club. Classrooms are really good specially lecture halls. Annual sports fest is Vajra.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Birla Institute of Technology Mesra

Exam Structure

JEE or NEET, Weightage - 60%(NEET) 40%(10+2)

Admission

I had qualified NEET already so didn't had to sit for any other written exam. Entrance is conducted by the Institute for those students who have not given JEE or NEET.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Like everyone knows in which carriculum they are interested ,similarly i know i have a keen interest in my subject i.e. physics . We can't see physics as a theoretical and mathematical aspect but in our daily Life we use to experienc it . Like if something is fell down there is a reason behind that is gravity .we use to experience physics in our daily life . Some teacher use to make us feel for that subject but someone make us bore sometime. It happens rarely but sometime it happens. So i suggest them to change some activity Like teach with more energyso tha we can't get bored. Sometime we get very lengthy paper in the exams so everyone have to prepare before the examination with high speed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very fond of mathematics in my intermediate times that's why I chose to do my graduation from BSC Maths Honours. But I chose the wrong college for doing so, which overall ruined my life. After coming to this college, I lost my interest in studies and this is the only thing I gained from this college. So, I would recommend everybody to stay away from this college.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.
