Exploring M.Sc - IT Programme

IIIT's are the most popular technical institutes of our country after IITs and NITs and that's why I selected IIIT - H for my M.Sc- IT programme. The institute was in top 45 names for technical education in NIRF's annual rankings of 2020. IIT-H is given AICTE's approval and accredition of NAAC is also associated with the institute. To apply for the M.Sc programme here one must fulfill the minimum marks condition and the selections for admissions are based on the interview performance.

I fulfilled all eligibilities and steps pf admission at IIIT Hyderabad and got a seat in M.Sc - Information Technology programme. The course curriculum of this specialisation majorly focuses on the latest IT technologies, its working and related disciplines. The 2 year course was a semester based one and had a total of 4 semesters exams. The faculty quality at IIIT Hyderabad did great addition to our learning and that was worth experiencing.

I think my decision of not participating in the internship round was a bad one, because the students who opted for the round were able to receive great work offers.I was happy with my overall experience with IIIT Hyderabad but still I think I should have been there among the participants.

Companies visited our college in great numbers during campus placements and the average package for my batch was INR 16 lpa .Highly esteemed recruiters such as ITC,Microsoft, Accenture, Tata group, Amazon and HCL were included among the visiting companies. The top package for the drive was nearly INR 35 Lacs while most of the students were happy with the job offers they received some still wanted to get higher packages.

Our college had a good enough fee structure as per which we had to pay a semester fee of INR 75,000 throughout the 2 years of M.Sc at IIIT Hyderabad. This fee makes the total programme fee INR 3 Lacs which included tuition charges, charges of examination and excluded the hostel fee.

IIIT Hyderabad is a famous institute of South India and it has been built in 60+ acres having a lot of greenery and trees. The campus includes library hall, auditorium, canteen and other essential facilities too which makes it a perfect match for all kind of students. The technical fest, Alumni meet, Farewell party and sport's facilities at IIIT Hyderabad are very popular. The campus also included a modernised computer lab for students association with the latest technologies.

Hostel life at IIIT Hyderabad was my first ever experience of this kind but I was really happy with the facilities we got there. The annual fee was just INR 35,000 but I didn't felt any requirement was missing or unavailable there. A grand dining hall was there and we were given the best quality of food by the institute. Our hostel infrastructure was just what I wished for and most importantly it also had sports facilities, which I totally loved.

If anyone wishes to pursue his/her M.Sc from IIIT Hyderabad,then he must appear in the PGEE entrance exam and score a valid score in the same. The applied candidates are shortlisted as per the same and then only they get to participate in the Interview round as per whose performance the admissions are provided.
