Remarks

Instrumentation and control system course provides better research options. As per my perspective, the course curriculum was good compared to all the other NIT's instrumentation, process courses. Kerala is nearby to chennai compared to north NIT's

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was good and all the facilities had a very good exposure towards the blooming research areas. Several topics were covered in the curriculum in a perfect structure. The college contains many quality staffs.

Placement Experience

3.5

Only a few electrical core companies visit the campus when compared to the software companies. Electrical students gets placed even in software companies with very good package. Very few companies with 25l, 12l and many 6l-10l visit the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was not less or high, through the gate stipend provided I was able to pay the complete semester and hostel fee. Couldn't able to save much. Scholarships are provided to students depending upon the different income background. Core electricals get very few core companies when compared to software.

Campus Life

4

Library contains both accessible soft and hard copies of books. Classroom structure was bit old. I was able to enjoy it to some extent but should also be very cautious while roaming around. The extracurricular activities, sports and tech fest like Ragam, thathva was notable things in the campus. A brief amount of time is spent for such activities which was refreshing amidst the busy curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CALICUT

Exam Structure

GATE 2019 - Score 953

Admission

Group discussion, Interview was not conducted. I was selected through CCMT process with GATE Score 2019.

Placements are mostly conducted with AMRITA school of pharmacy, and managed by the CIR team (They take care to develop and mould students from 1st semester in aptitude, English and soft skills). The package is, on average, between 3.5 - 5 LPA. The centre also has an opportunity to join back as JRF/PhD.
