Life at IIIT PUNE

The location and reputation of the institute made me to choose it as it was initially under the mentorship of COEP which is one of the oldest and reputed college in the state. The weather is really amazing in the city. As it was a new College we were supposed to do many things on our own and it gave us good knowledge and experience about the external world. We were free to approach the management for our problems. We are allowed to express our point of view collectively or individually to the administration and the staffs of the institute are really co-operative. There are many student made clubs approved and supported by management for the development of the students. We were supported to take part in inter and intra college technical and cultural fests such as inter IIIT fest, mood Indigo in IIT Bombay, BITs goa cultural fests, few inter College sports fests, etc. Students are expected to be good in their academics and supported by faculties for all kind of reputed events conducted anywhere around the country. IIIT PUNE won 1st and 2nd place in SIH on 2018 and 2019.

I was interested to learn about electronics and communication so I chose ECE. Our curriculum is flexible according to student wish in the third and fourth year of our college. All the faculties in the college are PHD holders and are always ready to help the students who have the willing to learn more in any particular domain. We will be having two internal exams and a final semester examination in a semester and there will two semesters yearly.

No I haven't opted for any internship from the college placement cell. Many students who have opted for internship opportunities from the college have get selected for the companies offered internship opportunities for the eligible students.

The placement opportunities provided by the college is pretty good. From 6th semester the students will be getting ready for placements and will be allowed to sit for it based on the company requirements for the internship. On an average around 20 companies vist the college for placements.

The fee structure of the institute is designed and circulated by the central government (MHRD). Students can avail scholarship based on their regional background which they ll get from their own states. If there is any valid financial issues college may permit the students to pay their fee in two or three terms in a year. You can get placed on the campus placement drive if you are strong enough in your required technical skills.

There will be freshers, traditional fest, two tech fest conducted by the technical club students of the college namely enigma and iconclave and annual fest called cestlavi in the month of April. A sports fests called Eklavya in the mid of even semester. There is a robotic club,web development club, sports club, cultural club, drama club and music club in the college run by students.
