Remarks

It's an IIM. It's a 5 year long course wherein I have an edge over all other MBA aspirants who get to spare anly 2 years in the IIM vibes. I chose this over IIM Indore because IIM Indore offers BA+MBA at the end of 5 years whereas IIM Rohtak offers BBA+MBA at the end of 5 years which is more valuable when countries abroad are considered.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The strength of 140 is distributed in 2 sections of 70 each. Teaching method is a mix of group discussions, presentations and theoretical knowledge exchange. The entire year is broken down in 3 terms. Every team has a mid term and an end term. In other words after every 45 days, one has to appear for exams. There can be surprise quizes anytime in mid sessions.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college do has a placement cell which takes care both of internships and final placements. The companies visit with their requirements and the students with matching profiles can apply for the role. The final decision stays in the hands of the company.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college provides financial help to the students who are in need. There are pre-specified normal for the same. Apart from the college help, the Institute also accepts the scholarships availed by students in all fields.

Campus Life

4

Life at campus will be fun if you know how to manage your time. If not, then it's lot hectic life there. We, at campus, do celebrate all festivals of all religions together and have fun. Importantly, you get to learn in detail about all the festivals as there is equal representation of all states in the batch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is designed to teach the basic and fundamental subjects of computer science to students. In each subject, the difficulty level is below moderate. There are some subjects which meet the industry standards and prepare students for jobs in market. But many subjects are out-dated and their syllabus is not upto standard mark of industry requirements. There is an urgent need to update the syllabus and make it more industry demands-oriented. The teaching methods used are good but some updates can make them more better. Less focus is given on practical knowledge and labs. In each semester, you will have sessional exams two times for all 5 subjects. In each year, there are two semesters and in each semester you will havee final exams in the month of December and May.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.
