Remarks

There were many things attract me when I was planning to take admission in Pondicherry University.When I visit first time in Pondicherry University we have seen students are come across the nation and then I realise we can learn many things from this huge diversity.Because students those are coming from different culture and different states their dressing sense is different and eating style is different and also the way of talking and way of living is different.The bad thing in my university I realised there was no good food is available as well as surrounding of the university.

Why I have choosen this course because I had interest in that course iwas quite excited to join pondicherry University MBA programme.Qualification of the faculty is all are having PHD degree.no one is with out PHD who are teaching in our university.There are semester based exam system and they schedule two sessionals in every semester.

I had summer internship in bhartiya AXA general insurance I have learnt many things from that place My topic was based on insurance domainWhich is TAKAFUL INSURANCE:-A modern approach

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is quite high with respect to other central universities in our country but their is scholarship facilities for those whose are coming from underprivileged families or will say poor family.Yes they provide good jobs in university campus but this year some dificiency occurred in placement.

Their were happened many before I get admission in Pondicherry University but after lockdown we never seen any fest and any function that is organised in my university.But senior told me if you were there this pandemic hasn't come you will enjoy very much.There is very big library and reading room with 3000 Student space

Let your Light Shine

Likes

The most liked things in my college is the college atmosphere which takes us to a heavenly feel. The environment is very silent when we visit in morning time when the students are in class.
The next thing I like the most is the professors in the college. Each and everyone is a friendly teachers where they not only help us in subjects and class related things but also guide us in our future career plans.
I like the way they treat the students in the college. They'll provide more liberty to the students but that doesn't affect them because the students too will be in their limits of liberty. So this is a good habit developed by the college.

Dislikes

There is nothing particular that I don't like. Sometimes I feel that they'll conduct some events where there might not chances to the deserving students.
There is some students gang where they take care of everything in the college by themselves without giving chances to deserving students.

Placement Experience:

From the final year which means 5th and 6th semester for undergraduate students and 3rd and 4th semester for Post graduate students, it is eligible for them to attend the campus placements. In my MBA, we'll be eligible for next semester to attend the placements. But for undergraduate students, they might have got chances now to attend the placements. The companies visited for us when I was in Undergraduate in the same Loyola College are Deloitte, Accenture, Standard Chartered, Goldman Sachs, RR Donneley, Bank of America, Sutherland, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Equinty, Turing, and many more small companies also came. The overall placed students numbers were almost more than 300 among the final year students alone in the college which is a great achievement. The highest package offered for us is ?700000 from Goldman Sachs and the average package we received is ?300000 which is from all the small companies. The percentage of placed students in our college is almost 85% from our batch alone. So we hope that in this batch there might be more than 90%. The reason for 85% in our batch is most of the students has moved for higher studies. My plan after getting degree is to get a senior most position in any of the big company and grow in my career.

Likes

The overall campus (well maintained,clean, availability of basic facilities,gym, shopping complex, open air theatre,2 stadiums, indoor court ,large no of hostels,free bus service, good classrooms)
Seminars or lectures by skilled professors,less academic stress,quality education,24×7 reading/study room,Main and department libraries, canteen and tea time facilities, good mentorship
Strong security checks, good environment with lots of trees, good air quality, Interaction is possible with students from various parts of India

Dislikes

Need improvement in academics,last time rush to finish syllabus, Marking system , limited study resources
Same and average mess food ,some hostels are old and need maintenance
No cultural fests, less department or university programmes and competitions,No study leave for exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pondicherry University has good sociology department and well trained professors.That ' s why I choose this.The curriculum contains major sociological concepts and theories and areas like rural and urban sociology, gender sociology,youth sociology and social on.The teaching methods should be improved.The exam schedule is tight.I write two semester exams in a day.The questions are not too hard but don't gets marks.

Likes

Hostel students say they get good quality food with affordable fee
Few teachers who are really cared about the students and their career

Dislikes

College buses are not in proper condition. Very poor maintenance
Many faculties are very lethargic and they do not complete the syllabus on time
Day by day placement sector is becoming poor. Students are not getting proper placements.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 3rd year 6th semester itself but the college does not bring any company for placement on time. 5 years back standard companies lkke tsc, hcl, cts etc used to come. But nowaday it is very rare. Lowest package is 2 lpa and highest package is 6 lpa. Average is 4 lpa. Very least students get placed. Try off campus. Do not believe the college

Dislikes

Is very strictly maintained in college faculty
No varities food and snacks,and no cut the college
No many time interval period and no model hair styles and one day exams conducted .

My college placement are good placement and no my college campus is inside to good and discuss aboutto employability to meet them college campus eligibility . And students getting placement and percentage maintained and after completing the course and degree should be provided

The Canteen has a good quality food with less cost making it as budget friendly
The Teachers aren't fully good but there are few gems who teaches the best

The other 50 percentage of teachers who are worst
There is nothing to dislike I love my college and I enjoy being here

I just applied for Gurunanak College and DG Vaishnava college also. I got call from Gurunanak College for MBA. But I choose Loyola because of it's brand reputation and high respect from public. It is one of the the top ranked colleges in Nation wise and first in Chennai. So as per this good and great characteristics, I choose Loyola over any other colleges. No, I didn't get any rejections from any colleges. Even I got selection confirmation from Gurunanak College but I didn't opt to it after I got confirmation from Loyola. DG Vaishana has sent me a mail for an entrance examination but I just ignored it after confirmation from Loyola. The admission process is very simple. First is online application. The applicant must fill all the necessary details in the application correctly and accurately without any mistake. Then after 2 to 3 weeks of thorough scrutiny, the admission officers will send us mail after we got shortlisted. The mail has details of the documents needed to bring to office with it's originals and Xerox for scrutiny and also they'll send the time and fees amount to be brought to pay. So they'll conduct an interview for the students and after that interview, they'll select the students and grant them admission. I got selected in HOU but I choose PU ,i got attracted to this course and i read brochure it find this is very diversified and you will having so many options after your degree and I got spot admission the admission process and hostel allotment process went very smoothly no problems there and I seats are alloted totally on merit based . If we compare the uni with other i would say academically it's very average particularly social science and humanities like the depts lack faculties and proper furniture and most of times professors will be ready at classes Talking about campus life no doubt there we have one the most beautiful campus in india and the night life of pu is another vibe it's don't disappoint anyone there , so on overall I am ok for choosing pu because it's a amazing diversity and filled with many talented people...Read More
