Remarks
The admission process for Delhi University is quite simple. We have to fill the form. And then wait for the cutoffs of colleges. Everything was online on DU's official website. I opt for this college as its cutoff was meeting my percentile and it is one of the top colleges of DU. I did not take any quota, I was from the general category. And if you are from the general category you need approx 95% in PCM in your 12th class of any board for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course i.e B.Sc. Hons Chemistry is a very good course if you like to study chemistry and want to make future with it. I opt for this course as I like chemistry and it also provides some future opportunities. Teachers are well qualified and very experienced. They actually help you to understand concepts. Most of them are so helpful to you. We get 1 teacher over 40-50 students in a theory class. For a practical class, there are 2 teachers with over 50 students. We have 2-semester exams in a year, they are always on time as scheduled by DU. Semester exams are not very tough and you can score well by just following your teachers and taking regular classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
At Kirori Mal College is a government college. It has not have many fees. We have to pay approx 15 thousand rupees for one year's fees (exam fees included). But if you are from outside of Delhi then you have to spend the cost of living in Delhi. The hostel has very limited seats so you have to look for PGs or flats to live in. There are many scholarships provided by University , College and Departments. You have to look for them carefully if you want to grab them. There are also some government scholarships provided for B.Sc Courses, INSPIRE scholarship is one of them, check for INSPIRE scholarship if you have scored well in your 12th.
Campus Life
College is located at the North Campus of Delhi University. So we can say it is the best for campus life. Annual fests here are unforgettable. RENAISSANCE is the annual fest of our college. And many other cultural programs kept going around the year. The library is even good, you can find most of your academic books there. College students are active in different social groups. NSS, NCC also has participation from students. AARAMBH is one of the social groups actively working by students.
