Remarks
I got into this college through wbjee exam and counselling process. I choose many other engineering colleges in Kolkata like JU, IEM, Heritage, NSEC and many others. I got my college B.P.Poddar Institute of Management and Technology by my GMR rank. About admission criteria the minimum marks is >=60%. Admission process was very good. After getting the college from WBJEE counseling process I reached to the City Office of our Institute in Park Street and got admitted.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course for my interest in computer technology and programming. And It is a very good course to get a job in any IT sector. The faculty of this college get 7 points out of 10. Most of the faculty are M.Tech /M.E or P.hd. Our term exams were never got late ever. And that was not so much difficult if you follow the classes carefully then you can pass the exams easily.
Internships Opportunities
Very few companies offered internships in our college named TCS, Capgemini, Infosys. Their stipend was 10000. Projects are needed for campus drive. In the 4th year, we have to make projects. I am thinking to give GATE and do MTech.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys, TCS, HCL, Capgemini, Tech Mehandra,L&T Infotech etc. 10 lakh is the highest package and 4 lakh is the average package as per company and profiles offered. 70-80% of students getting placements. My plans is higher studies after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college fees are a bit higher than other colleges. The scholarships that are available are NSP, SVMCM, Student Credit Card. Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester only. Students get placements with a minimum of 3LPA every year from this college.
Campus Life
Anuam Fest Elixar whise is takes place in this college. And there are many tech fests are being conductedevery year. The central libary of this college is very neat and clean and well decoreted. I must say 80-85% books are available there. Class are very good. The college have their own website form where you can check about this college more.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are comfortably and make for a good home away from home. girls and boys have a separate hostel. 24*7 Wi-Fi connectivity provided. CCTV cameras are at the entrances and inside the hostel. Housekeeping services are provided.
