Entrance Preview

I didn't took any entrance test.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure is heavily dependent on research for the master's degree, and is wonderfully engaging. You can access the course structure online. Th sense of accomplishment that you gain from submitting a dissertation is unmatchable. The practical sessions were amazing too. I made radio shows, news videos and created a small documentary.

Internships Opportunities

The course requires the completion of atleast one internship per semester. You will have the freedom to select your own organisations to work for. The stipend depends completely on the companies you choose.

College Events

4.5

There are events and activities that take place on campus more than 65% of the time you spend here. Apart from the college-wide fests, you have department-wide fests and other activities that are organised frequently. Some fests ofcourse are truly massive, and attract a lot of participation and sponsors.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know any, and I have not availed any either. I do believe that the best way to learn about any scholarships would be to check the official website and contact the university office.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a huge focus on extra curricular activities, my college has some of the best sports, NCC, culturals and choir teams in the country. There is also a club called Centre for Social Action that does a lot of social service and is completely voluntary. There are also film clubs on campus that screen award-winning movies for the students to watch.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is active and has regularly scheduled activities. There are also many Unofficial groups on Facebook and other social media networks.

Exam Structure

The course marks depend on exams and continuous assignments. The course can be hectic, and challenging. Every subject in this course will have two assignments to finish along with one exam at the end of the semester. The assignments are the best part. They can be creative and can fetch you a lot of marks.

Admission

Got the form directly from the college office, filled the form and submitted the application, waited for the selection list for interview, attended the interview, then waited for the list of selected students. I got in! The process was straight forward and transparent.

Faculty

4.5

Almost all of the faculty in the university hold PhDs in their areas of expertise. Some faculty members are great educators and are greatly capable at keeping student engaged and challenged. The admirable part is that this course required me to think and contemplate on everything learnt. The course requires a lot of self work. Nothing is spoon fed.

Our particular course dint had any placement drives. But now, from this year they do have for M.Sc. DAN students too. I think its a good move. Other culinary department students had 100% placements as claimed by the University. After getting degree i am interested in pursuing my Ph.D.

Campus do offer placement but it is more research oriented so students prefer to continue the higher studies rather than choosing placement. My plan is also to ago for phd and then post doc to pursue research.
