I had also applied for Kirori Mal and Daulat Ram college but ultimately chose Hansraj College because of its better rankings. For admission in Zoology Hons. course, the cut-off was about 94-95% for the general category in 2019. The admission process went smoothly and was finished within a day including, documents verification and fee payment for the first semester. There is a photocopy shop within the college premises so you don't have to go outside searching for one and it saves a lot of time during regular classes as well.

I'm pursuing Zoology Hons. as it interested me the most out of all the science courses available. The labs are spacious, well furnished, equipped with the best quality instruments for practicals. There's a museum as well. The student-teacher ratio is fairly great and all the teachers are very cooperative. They understand the workload and take classes according to that. The use of PPTs is common. Presentations are conducted almost every week before internals. And the semester exams to have a fairly high difficulty level.

Hansraj has an internship cell too to provide internship opportunities to students. It also collaborates with different companies and NGOs on a regular basis. It also organizes an annual internship fair to which leading brands are invited.

Placements are conducted every year giving more opportunities to students pursuing Chemistry Hons., Commerce courses. Highest packages can go up to 9-11 lakh CTC My plan is to prepare for civil service, so I'll most likely not appear for placements.

The fee for my course is about 24000 a year. Scholarships are also provided by the College to aid students. Some of my classmates have received yearly scholarships. Canteen food is very affordable or I should rather say, it doesn't feel like extra expenditure.

The annual fest Confluence is like a cherry on the cake. Apart from that, many events like food fest, Diwali mela, Holi party, college freshers as well as department freshers party are organized. Every society conducts its own fresher's party too as well as its own fest. So, you will never miss having fun here. Hansraj's library is a best place to spend your time. It's just huge, and well maintained with a distinction between Science and arts books. Sports ground is also vast. If you want to join NCC, then this place is just meant for you. There are societies of every kind, arts, music, classical and western dance, sports, fashion, photography, writing, civil services preparation, etc.
