Remarks

The The reason I choose MDI Gurgaon was that it is one of the best Marketing campuses that I had the option that moment of time. That was particularly the main reason and obviously the location. It is located in Corporate hub Gurgaon. So, it provides an added advantage.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is somewhat similar to what is followed in IIMs. So, the first year is common for PGPM students. Basically, we have 3 different courses. PGPM course is common for all first-year students. In the second year, students can start taking electives. So, we have a dual degree program where student can pursue their management in two domains. Then, we have also a separate program for HR. So, the entire curriculum is designed specifically for HR and then we have a thought program which whose are the name of PGPIM that is International Management. So, MDI has a tie-up with one of the best universities in Europe. So, every year students spend an entire one year abroad in ESCP colleges. The faculty to student ratio in MDI is pretty great. We have around a total no of 80 faculty members on our campus and the entire pedagogy is case-based. The name of the great faculty is that I was fortunate to study under was one of them was Mr. Sanjay Bakshi. He is one of the best faculty in the domain of Behavioral Finance. So, it was very great to learn from him. Then, we have Mr. Rajesh Pillania who is also the best faculty in Strategy in India.

Internships Opportunities

5

One thing that MDI Gurgaon has been able to showcase this year their extraordinary record in summer placement. So this year the entire summer placement was held on virtual due to Covid scenario. We are come off with flying colours and we did better than last year.

Placement Experience

5

Generally, final placements are conducted in the last semester. So, this year the placements will be conducted in January and February. So, that pretty much it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I'm not very sure about the scholarship that the college provides or not. The fee structure changes every year. For my case, the total fee was 21.34 Lakh. It changes for example for the PGPIM course I think it was around 25 Lakh. Bank provides you collateral-free loans very easily by showcasing the MDI offer letter. That should not be a problem.

Campus Life

5

Talking about the extra curriculum activity of MDI Gurgaon, there are 3 cultural fests that happening every year. The first one is Delphique. It is a national management convention. The second one is Illumina. It is more of Diwali mela that we organize every year. And the third is Imperium. This year we already hosted Delphique, we invited eminent personalities like Marico Founder & Chairman Mr. Mariwala. There is an interesting virtual show that was organized by our Illumina team. Apart from that, there are activities by other event clubs and academics clubs. It goes almost every month something other happening. So, these are the extra curriculum activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

Basically, our college has multiple hostels. So, we have a separate hostel for both boys and girls and it's a shared accommodation. So, every room is occupied by two students. Overall the entire campus and accommodation are pretty much good.

Admission

For MDI Gurgaon in particular you need to take the CAT examination. The eligibility criteria are mention very clearly on MDI websites. So, that can be referred. Talking about the entire admission process, first of all, you have to fill the form. Then, based on the CAT percentile that you have done, you get shortlisted & call upon for the interview. So, before the interview, there is generally a group discussion and after your group discussion, it is followed by an interview. So, based on your performance on group discussion or interview sometimes they also take a written assessment of the group discussion that you have just finished. My GD topic was about Artificial Intelligence that how it can benefit our civilization. And it was a 10 minutes group discussion followed by a 5 min wait. Basically, you have to some of the entire discussion you had in a written article then it was followed by a personal interview. So, I'm MDI Gurgaon the GD topics are on current topics generally. The WAT was on a similar topic that was GD. We were given approximately 5 minutes to complete WAT. And the Interview was more about judging your personality and seeing whether you will be the right fit for the MBA program or not. The question that was pertinent to my work experience. Then, it was also about how I'm aware of the world what is happening in the world. So, a lot of focus was also given to that area. It was more about my opinion rather than fact. Basically, based on your overall profile that 10th, 12th, Graduation if you have any relevant work experience general diversity question is also there. So, based on all these parameters you get shortlisted to admitted into the MDI.

Placement Experience:

Almost 650% of students land a PPO with the companies they intern at. For the others, the Placement Cell does an amazing job of lining up companies for campus recruitment. The highest package recorded has been 16 LPA with an average revolving around around 6 LPA. I think it's reliable placement scenario and we are given enough training to do our best in the interviews.
