Sjmsom IIT Bombay review

IIT Sjmsom Bombay is selected because I am looking college at proper location and IIT B is good for that plus it is my dream college. And return on investment is good plus placement record of IITM B in placement report is similar to IIT J.

Course curriculum is based on IIT Bombay calendar. There are 2 semester in every year and each semester has 2 terms so 1st year has 4 term and 8 terms in 2 years. Faculty came from top colleges and have qualified with MBA, PHD from IIM & IIT. Teaching method is application based method in which case studies are there.

Summer internships is smooth process which is completed in 4 days. Many top company came here. Company from all sectors and all domain came. Highest package is 3.2 lakh, median package is 2 lakh and average package is 2.2 lakh.

Placements teams is really hardworking and plans everything quickly and systematically. There is nice structure of planning. Records are present in placement report which is available on the website of Sjmsom IIT Bombay.

Fee structure for 2020 -2022 is 9.9 lakh which is reasonable with other IIM'S. Return on investment is best thing in Sjmsom IIM Bombay.

IIT Bombay has 558 acres of campus and also has big sports facility, big playground, gym. All type of sport facilities are there. Campus is huge, beautiful and a lot to explore. There is good bonding between students and have many people to interact. Social life is good.

Hostel provides single room for stay but usually for 1st year students got double seat rooms but due to covid single rooms are offered. And rooms does not have air conditioner. But hostel provide all the basic facilities.

After CAT 2019, I applied in mid January and deadline is end of January. Based on this candidates are shortlisted and call for interview. Selection date is March 5 to 8 March. WAT on 7 March. WAT topic come from current affair or an abstract. My topic is on GDP. I wrote pros & cons of GDP plus also given conclusion in last and given 30 min for writing. But the time can vary because its depends on situation. Write on topic whether you are agree or disagree and clear your points plus emphases on the topic. After this candidates are called for interview and stay there for a day plus explore the campus. Interview experience is best and everything is planned like stay in hostel, bus start from 7am in morning brought to campus vlcc first breakfast and then interview process ahead which is very comfortable and very planned. In PI I had 5 people in which 2 are interviewer and 3 are moderators who are PA of these faculties. Number of people can change according to which panel you are in. My panel is of senior faculty members - one is professional and teacher from IIT Bombay from chemical department. I am from architectural background and questions are regarding introduce yourself, work experience, projects design, structural detail, some core questions. Also estimate on home population and some justification questions. Basically question test technical knowledge of all and work experience. Based on this result came. But result got delayed to June 2020.
