I appeared for CAT in 2020, post which I received interview calls from MDI, IIM's, VGSOM, SJMSOM, DMS etc. The admission criteria of the open category for SJMSOM, IIT BOMBAY was more than 60% in 10th and 12th which had a weightage of 5%. There was 5% weightage to the graduation scores and 10% to gender diversity too. Post filling the form I got an interview call and was also allotted a buddy to help clear any doubts regarding the interview process. The interview was held on a platform & each candidate was allowed to log in and interact with the platform a day prior to the interview. On the day of the interview, there were two main procedures document verification and the actual PI. We were assigned to a buddy in batches of 20 who would personally take us to our respective procedure. The application process was three-tiered and began in January. I first applied by completing an application form and attaching all required documents, as well as my CAT score. The second phase was a shortlisting round based on CAT score and merit, and the final round was a PI based on the composite score as determined by the shortlisting criterion.
