Review of GCETTS college

College name- Govt. College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore. Eligibility criteria- Admission through WBJEE Rank. Admission Process : First, you have to give wbjee exam. After getting the results, the counseling process started. After getting seat allotment, then physical verification will be conducted and the admission process started.

The textile industry is the second largest industry in India and contributed 12-18% of GDP. A large number of students get placement through college campusing. Faculty and students ratio 1:10. Our faculty members are so helpful.

In this covid situation, everything is going through online. Students have completed some online internships from IIT, Nit, some industrial companies. seminars also conducted by some companies. Some students also have completed their internship through Internshala like platforms.

After 7th-semester students became eligible for placement. From our college, almost 80 percent of students get placement in different companies. Average Package- 3 to 4 lakh. Highest package in this year about 7lakh.

Fees structure- 6000/year for b.tech in Textile Technology. 12000/year for b tech in Computer science and engineering. 24000/year for b.tech in Information Technology. 12000 per annum for b.tech in Apparel production and management. This is Govt. College, so fees structure is so affordable.

Every year, tech fest have conducted by 4th-year students in January. Various types of games have been conducted (like- Chess, Ludo, Freefire all types of indoor games). Also quiz, aptitude tests also conducted. Winners get prize money for each type of game. Also annual sports was conducted twice in each year. (Ex- Cricket,Football, High jump,Long Jump etc).
