Remarks
I kept my aim towards JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING only because they have the best faculty for the ECE department. I didn't have a quota for admission. I got admitted by a general method. I went to the official site of JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING and there I found the admission form at the bottom of the site which I filled up and then I got a call from the admission cell of JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. Then he offered me a seat in the ECE department and I approved it online. Then the fees portal came up and I cleared my fees. As I was pretty much confident about myself so I didn't go for counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview
I took ECE because I knew that shortly 5G connection will be coming which results in a nice job opportunity for teens and the course also have a scope in the electronics section too. Now talking about students faculty ratio, so for me, it's pretty good. 40:1 is the regular class and during labs, it's 20:1. As per my knowledge, every of the faculty members is a specialized teacher in their streams. Every single faculty member are having a PhD degree in their teaching stream. Exams are taken as per the norms and regulations of the AICTE. Now talking about the toughness so it's pretty much tough. The paper seems to be easy to answer but it's pretty too lengthy.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, the college gives internship opportunities through Internshala. The project given to me was coding-based. So I had to troubleshoot the problems in a given set of ML. It was a pretty good experience and I loved it.
Placement Experience
As of now, I am in the 3rd sem, so NO placement has been offered to me. But I have got the information that the college has some good image in the placements. The average package is almost 4.2lakh per annum and the Highest is 9lakh per annum. The percentage of placement is 91%. And I have a clear plan of pursuing an MBA after my degree ends up.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no fees hike. Just normal fees. The total fees inclusive of everything except hostel is 4lakhs 8 thousand. Of which 10,000 is caution money which one can claim back after their 4-year course. I personally didn't apply for any scholarships because I was not eligible for them.
Campus Life
Now as it's all online so I don't have much idea about these things. But I know the college holds up many fests every year but due to pandemics, we have missed those. I personally went library and it was pretty good with an abundant supply of the required books. I visited the empty classrooms and those were also pretty too good. The college also has flipped classrooms for group study. Due to a pandemic, the sports section of the college is closed. Other co-curricular activities like dance music photography trekking are going on online media interface. Yes, the seniors and we too have some social media pages and groups in which we take charge to lead other students to excel in it.
