An average college to pursue your bachelors

Administration is good as department is concerned but college administration needs vast improvement in raising the college standard.

There is no entrance exam as such for BCA course. I took direct admission in this college as i fulfilled the criteria of pursuing BCA in these college.The criteria being:1.10+2 pass from any recognized BOARD 2. Having MATHS or COMPUTER as one of the subjects in 10+2.I opted for BCA in SIT as I was not good at maths and was not confident to opt for Btech even though i had 27000 rank in WBJEE. And SIT is the only college in North Bengal with good infra structure for BCA so got admitted in SIT.

The course structure was good.Giving us a complete insight into the programming languages,and subjects like networking, dbms, software engineering.We have had ample seminars and workshops.And special classes of PHP, HTML. Overall the course structure is good for budding software developers aspiring to dominate the IT industry with their skills.

No,we didint get to sit in any campus interviews. Even though many companies had come for campusing but we did not get any opportunity to sit for the campuses process.

Placement is not that good.And for BCA there is no such campusing. If anyone wants to get a degree with sound knowledge in their subjects then its totally cool,but there is no such job opportunities for BCA students as such. But students can inquire about pool campusing held in some other place and can sit at their own will but college does not play any role in accommodation or anything related to those campusing. Namely TCS, ALTIMETRIC, IAF had come but only for BTECH students.

Technical fest, Exquizit (Intra departmental quiz) competition, cultural nights were held in our college, And even NCRTCSA was held Workshops and seminars are regularly held with good participation from students.

Admission fee=48,000, 2nd to 6th Sem=34000*, 5=170000, total=218000(aprox).

I havent availed But college provides such facilities. I dont have sound knowledge about that.

No diversity as such workshops and cultural activities are excellent. Poor sports facilities Robotics competition and everything is excellent

There were lab classes for two days.And it was not that hectic. Labs are well maintained more or less its average. We were blessed to have the best teachers for labs and was really taught well.

Faculties are average with sound knowledge in their subjects. But there is a scope of improvement in few areas where interaction is concerned. But precisely,introduction of PHP as an addon was really beneficial to us. But the department is still improving,hope to see everything fall into place in the near future.
