Sharad Singh's Review On Jamia Millia Islamia University-[JMI], New Delhi

I write jamia millia entrance examination,in written i score 51 out of 85 and 8 marks out of 15 in interview over all 50 marks out of 100. I opt this course because because nanotechnology is emerging day by day and a good opportunity is there in foreign to work with senior scientists and have a good hand on delicate instruments.

Right now college is not providing any sort of internship but those who have qualified GATE they have a chance to get stipend from 2017 on wards.

Students are eligible to take participate in TCS and most of the students want to to higher education so they are interested in going abroad rather than getting a job,if you are willing to do Phd. Kind of things than only opt this course otherwise it is not for those who are seeking job after M.tech.

International conference is supposed to happen every year from 2016 on wards. Foundation day of jamia is celebrated every year. Tech fest is organised every year, Talimi mela is there every year. Like these events every now and than cultural programs are organised in every department and some times they are open to all candidates. A sports complex is there and a very good sport facility is provided to the students.

This course is expensive rather than other course are running in jamia . The fees is around 55 k for this course per year.As the fees of other courses are less than 10k but its an expensive one because it is a self financed course. Except fees in whole curriculum a student is not charged any kind of fee.

Till now in M.tech nano technology no scholarship is provided neither though Indian bank and bank of india are there in jamia campus you can opt any of the bank for loan.

Hostel is hard to get because alot of courses are there in jamia but those who got hostel are liable to pay 10k for hostel for a year and 2k per month for mess. The food is good veg and non-veg both kind of food is there as per your choice you can eat.

Every Semester is comprised of four subjects(theory) a Lab. and a seminar except final semester,in final semester a six months project is there. Labs are very frequent though they are not difficult but they are time taking so a chilled out environment is there.

Every faculty member is Phd. holder so obviously they have a good hand on theory and practical as well, mostly teachers are interested in doing experiments rather than theory because nano is a emerging field and every day some new concepts are coming so they promote practical knowledge rather than theory.
