Remarks
The process was quite smooth and scheduled. We had all the information regarding certificates and documents on the website/portal so there was no chaos. And we were patiently attended by the honourable professor for scrutiny of certificates. The sequence of counselling is based on marks. So from the top, as per seat availability, students were allotted.
Course Curriculum Overview
Each year has two semesters. Each semester has one midterm, one end term both written and practical. All exams are timely and the odd semester is of 6 months duration while even is of 4 months will properly spaced schedule. Exams are not difficult at all.
Internships Opportunities
Before NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY, things were regular like 3 year theory + practical and then busy 4th year with on field experience and farmer interaction. Getting ready as an agricultural graduate. But after policy, things are rescheduled as per guidelines so from 2022 onwards it will be more skill based and rewarding
Placement Experience
Placement is the choice of candidates as per their preference and choice of the journey ahead. A good percentage gets that while the majority like to pursue post graduate courses be it in the same field or others. Like many pursue MSc ag by preparing for ICAR JRF PG, many opt CAT for MBA and many others like that. Banks come with handsome packages so candidates can willingly opt for choices.
Fees and Financial Aid
Placements are given after the 7th semester based on the company which visits. The package is avg. To good based on graduate level degree. Apart from these professional ones, there are many events of national and international significance for exposure and Opportunities are provided for innovative ideas with handsome stipend but the idea should be worthy of that and these are guided further by institutes like IIT's
Campus Life
The first year will be all about making stuff. Second year onwards responsibilities will start. Being senior from organising fresher and all. 3rd year is supposed to organise an agriculture fest which is one of the popular fests of BHU. Additionally, a training and placement cell is guiding the students as per need. And with times literary clubs, singing clubs are being introduced to hone skills.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is allowed as per rank. And hence there is cutthroat competition for that. Each room has accommodation for two. But being in a hostel reduces all your expenses by a great margin. For example, the entire fee for a year for hostel and academics per year is around 5000 for hosteler. Day scholar has to pay additionally for rent depending on locality. The bonus is you get to live a hostel life.
Interview Experience
There was no GD or interview per se. But being a goverment college , we have to go through writtwn entrance test which indeed is competitive given seats are very few and candidate are many . The syllabus , pattern and question banks are available on sites and are regularly updated for reference which gives hint of paper.
