Course Curriculum Overview

5

The scope of this course is very good like whereever I want to settle my self i can such as in management, govt sector, pvt sector, civil services or be it business. There are 2 skill enhancement courses in every semester like pearl farming and integrated farming system that prepares us for our own business development. More over there are courses like entrepreneurship development and business enterprises that helps us develop a thought process that how these things work in real life. I don't think there are any needs to improve the course curriculum and teaching methods they are top notch. The difficulty level of exams is moderate with some courses being tough and they require that much preparation overall the course curriculum is relevant and efforts seeking you can't just pass in one night.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are student exchange programs in which students go to Indian agricultural research institute new delhi for internships Also in 4th year there is an internship program called RAWE which makes students market ready for placement. Students have to deal with rural people as a part of their project and have to explain them new agricultural practices being established in order to improve there productivity.

Placement Experience

3

Students get placed in starting of 4th year that is 7th semester. The companies that often visit are pradhan co.pvt.ltd, seed companies and drone companies also companies like Nestle and britannia visit for placements. Highest ctc in 2025 was 19LPA and the avg was 7.5 LPA these data are also available on nirf site. Nearly 30% students get placed because remaining prefer higher studies over placement, those who are financially weak consider placement. My plans are different, I'm preparing for CAT and want to persue mba in agribusiness management from iim ahmedabad or iim lucknow.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently paying 10000 rupees per semester that is 20k per year for tution fee and all other charges are included in this except for the hostel fee that is 4800 for whole year but not all the students get it. Mess charge is on daily pay basis at a rate of 60 rs per plate... And the fee is constant for past many years and will be this only for next session also. I've availed a scholarship that is national talent scholarship which is provided by icar to 30 students of all the students studying in a batch of bhu.. and the amount is 3000 per month. There is also a paid seat system which charges a fee of 30000 per semester and that is 60000 per year from students.

Campus Life

5

There is a society named wisteria society which is managed by third year and coordination is also from 2nd year including the sargam club for music, rhythm rhapodsi for dance, alfaz for shayari and baithki for quizzes and debates. The annual fests include shrishti the cultural fest of ias bhu, abhinandan the freshers, aaramb or deeksharamb the induction programme, sports festival is saahas, APL, VSL etc In classes there is one projector and one smart tv equipped and tech pro classrooms are there having wifi. These all facilities contribute for the overall development of students behaviour and personality.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is good having clean rooms being cleaned everyday by swippers and a big green lawn is there which is aesthetically very attractive. Meal quality is okay okay not too good but manageable ( what can I expect from hostel food) Hostel is not alloted to everyone like there are 50 seats in hostel of a 270 students batch And the fee is 4800 rs per year. But outside the campus private hostels are available for eg near hydrabad gate of bhu roomlelo offers 6000 per month fee including food and washing machine.

Admission

There are many other agricultural universities in India including iari that are considered the aiims of agriculture but the fact that BHU offers other activities also like sports and music, dance, athelete and many more things that help to develop your overall persona rather than just relying on grades and scores. Definitely iari is good but the course of bachelors is comparatively new there being 3 years old it started back in 2022 only, i would say iari is good for masters and PhD but for bachelors there is not a single competition of bhu in India. You've to give CUET as the entrance exam for bhu agriculture if you're an Indian and you've 55% score in your 12th with subject combination pcb,pcm or abc then you're eligible. Cutoff is definitely high for bhu as it is the top ranked university in India so you've to work accordingly. After exam results are out the admission process is so smooth.

Faculty

4

In bhu the most interesting thing is faculty to students ratio, for each course there are min 3 to maximum 6 professors assigned for a batch of students 135. Each professor teaches their own portion in which they have excellence and every faculty is highly qualified and having experience of minimum 10 years in teaching to more than 25 years of teaching. Some faculties have done their theses in foreign. When it comes to specific faculty I like dr. Afjal ahmad hod of plant physiology department because of the fact that he fits everything in our mind and explains everything with real examples and methods. I also like dr. Pratik sanodiya sir because of his lecture delivery skills and notes preparing strategy i excelled my first year. There are definitely some faculties who are overall good but at some instances they lack such as dr.vinod kumar sir who is relatively a new faculty and that's why he lacks somewhere in how to take tests properly like he gives very less marks and there is an internal system in our institute so all the power is in the hands of our faculties. Coming to the examination there are mainly three exams in a semester that are mid term, end term and practical term. The mid term consists of 30 marks, end term consists of 40 marks and practical term consists of 30 marks. The passing marks in each course is 50 marks and overall 55% in aggregate is required to pass a semester. Nearly 90% students pass in each semester and 10% fails but still they are given a second chance and most of them clears the back exam. If due to any reason they are not able to clear the back exam then they have to repeat the year. The course curriculum is relevant in terms of skills enhancement and self employment.also it has several courses that are relevant from different examinations point of view like civil services and cat.

Night Life

5

There is a central gym in bhu for everyone that is a part of bhu and each hostel respectively have a gym. Like most of the places have cafeteria like Nestle and some private owned also. A central library sayaji Rao Gaekwad and a cyber Library are considered one of the largest of Asia having more than 1 lakh books. Campus is accessible 24 hours In night also everyone is safe and there are many police stations and proctor offices everywhere in campus they also so petroling in night and day. Hostel timings are 4 am in morning to 10pm in night. There is a madhuban park which is preferred to hang out and picnic purposes.

Placement Experience:

The placements for the B.Sc Agriculture course at Invertis University are growing but may not be very high compared to technical courses. Some companies visit the campus for agriculture-related roles such as agri-input companies, seed companies, fertilizer companies, and marketing positions. Students with good communication and technical knowledge usually get good opportunities. However, not every student may get a direct campus placement.
