Remarks

The minimum marks needed were 75% in all the 4 main subjects which were I guess the last cutoff for the general category. The admission process was quite smooth whatever difficulty and doubt I had everything was cleared by the teachers of the help desk. All the students of my class once discussed that all the teachers were very polite and explained and everything during the admission process. I was unable to upload my 12 mark sheet the teachers were so helpful that till the time my admission process was totally completed she continuously messaged and called me regarding the admission process if I need any help or not. They also provided me with their own personal email and forwarded the documents because I was unable to do that. All the numbers were active. We had an orientation which was on youtube live which was not well planned because there was a lot of network problem but all in all the teachers were very helpful during the whole admission process the process went very smoothly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose BSc home science because I have had a keen interest in this subject since 11 standards. This college was in my mind since I started doing research It is one of the best colleges which offers home science. This college is mainly famous for courses such as BSc home science, BSc home science (Hons), BSc Hons microbiology, BSc Hons biochemistry, ba hons journalism and my other pg courses such as MSC in food and nutrition, MSC in fashion studies. The teachers are very supportive and interactive even in the online classes they were so polite even after facing a lot of connectivity issues. All the teachers are well qualified professors and are PhD level and MSC level teachers. No doubt the faculty is well qualified. The exams were obe and are average in difficulty level. All in all the college offers good courses and well educated teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

I feel the fee structure is a bit high as compared to other colleges and courses of Delhi University. The fee is 28000 per year which is a bit high as compared to other courses. But as this is a BSc course it includes practicals such as food and nutrition, fashion studies which require material so that is one reason the fees is on a higher side other than this the college doesn't have any kind of scholarship according to my research. There are good placements according to the courses. The college has a placement cell known as ihe Eminence which is highly active on Instagram and they keep on posting different internship opportunities for all the students accordingly. Other than the fees the education and lab facilities are good. The labs are well constructed and have all the facilities which are required during any kind of practical.

Campus Life

The college is situated in Hauz Khas (South Delhi )which is a hub for college students because haus khaz village is situated near my college so the location is very beautiful. All the historic places are located near Hauz Khas. Metro is in front of the college which makes college life more comfortable. The location is very safe. The fashion society of the is very famous which is named as poise. poise is very famous all over Delhi University. I don't know properly about the sport but the societies are very active. other than poise the dance, the drama society are also famous. The library is there which has all the necessary books which can be availed by students with the help of their I'd card and they can issue whichever book they wish for. The college has a gym also.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
