Ribhav Ranjan Chaudhary's Review On Shaheed Bhagat Singh College - [SBSC], New Delhi

It was an easy-going process. Although we had to stand in lines and wait for our turn, the students of the college volunteered to help us. The teachers and the students of the college were very helpful during the admission process.

Initially, I chose this course because I did not want to continue with science and I wanted to experiment in the world of literature, but as I got admission into the college and started taking classes I realised that English Honours is so much more than just a trending course. The teachers put in so much effort to help and explain to us the importance of literature in one's life. This course I can say for sure has helped me shape my personality, have a broader and far sighted vision. Plus it also offers so many decent opportunities for future studies.

See, as I said I am not very much aware of the internships offered, so I don't think I should be giving my views on college internships or placements.

I think third year students become eligible for campus placements, although I myself have never applied so I might not have apt information. My plans after getting the degree are to do a masters in English only and then prepare for UPSC examinations.

The fee structure is very sorted out in my college, and the best part about it as well. I had to pay a yearly fee of around Rs 6500, which was easily affordable even for the students coming from weaker sections of the society. Our college offers a lot of scholarships and internships, my friends from the commerce department did get jobs as well, I wasn't interested as such in scholarships so I don't mainly know what kind of scholarships.

Dastaan is the annual fest of SBSC, it is usually conducted in February or March. Books and journals are readily available in the college. The biggest plus point of my college is, the toilets are always clean ;) And my college sports and extra curricular activities have been rated A by NAAC. And about the social groups, our college has one of the best societies and clubs, as they are run independently by students. The management of the events and various fests is also done by students. February is the most interesting time of college life.
