Remarks

The admission process was smooth. Counselling happened at AIIMS Delhi itself. We went and chose our colleges based on rank. All the people from the AIIMS administration were present and it was a pleasure listening to them address us.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The thing with being in the best medical institute in the country is that the internal exams here aren't as breezy as compared to some other places. We are expected to have a certain standard of knowledge at all times. And that's a totally justified and beneficial thing. There are 3 professionals in all. Each semester, there is a mid semester and end semester exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

There is 1 year of internship after MBBS. 9 months at AIIMS hospital here, and 3 months of village posting at Ballabhgarh. It is a paid internship at around 26k per month for now. It is the ideal time for interns to learn hands-on practical skills and clinical aptitude. However, they can be overworked at times, considering that interns and JRs are usually the workhorses in the hospitals. It is rewarding though, as actually being in the clinics then can be a great way of preparing for the PG entrance simultaneously.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, money is never an issue with studying at AIIMS. The fees for the entire duration of MBBS is less than Rs. 6,000. Also, food in the messes is subsidised and highly affordable. After 4.5 years of study, there is a year of paid Internship at the hospital that is a great learning curve.

Campus Life

4

There are dance, music and art societies formed within the students. Most of them have their Instagram channels as well. There is no dearth of extracurricular talent as well in the most prestigious and difficult to enter the medical college of the country.

Hostel Facilities

3

We have all been provided with single rooms. No time limit for coming in or going out. No restrictions. Food in messes is affordable, quality is not bad either. However, there can be certain issues with the messes sometimes. But they are resolved quickly. Gautam Nagar, Green Park (INA) are the places you can rent a room on PG nearby. All walking distance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Bcoz in mbbs in addition to money there is also a lot of respect, plus it is easy to explain what are u doing ? 2. There are a total of 100 students in our batch and there are at least 2-3 assistant professors, 1 head of department, and at least 4-5 postgraduate and senior residents 3. Assistant professor and Head of the department has already completed there pg's and has experience of 5-10 year of teaching, Senior resident had also completed their pg but the difference between sr's, AP, and HoD is that sr's have lack of experience 4. There is an exam after completion of a particular unit and this is easy then comes the term exam which occurs after 2-3 months it comes under the category of moderate then there is pre-proof before the proof this is quite hard even for some say it's harder than proof, then finally comes off the last exam of that particular year after proof another year start bcoz results of proof usually take 2,3,4 weeks at least
