Remarks
The eligibility criteria were pretty much similar to other colleges in India: One should have passed 10+2. Must clear the minimum cut-off criteria. No age limit. Also, there aren't any entrances at the college, and entrance is based on a 10+2 aggregate that is the best of 4 subjects. For the general category, it was greater than 95% and for the reserved category, it was 90%.
Course Curriculum Overview
Hansraj College is one of the biggest constituents of Delhi University and it boasts itself as the second best college in the D.U. Usually, the lectures start around 8:30 am and the average duration of the class is approx 1 hour. The teachers are highly qualified and use the best guides and references to make their students understand the topic. The classes are very lively.
Internships Opportunities
Every year an Internship fair is organised at the college. The fair has more than 30 companies offering various roles n their organization. During the pandemic, this was held online and was open to every college student in India.
Placement Experience
Students have a great time getting placed at big MNC and Hans Raj Placement cell has a history of renowned recruiters. Many societies in college help you prepare for your dream job. The average package made by the company is around 5 lakhs and the highest package is around 15 lakhs. You can find Big Four's and other firms that visit campus for placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since the college gets a grant from UGC, the fee is very nominal which comes to around Rs. 20,000 per year. The merit-based scholarships are given to students only after a student welfare community interviews them. Scholarships are also usually available for underprivileged children.
Campus Life
One can find a variety of students here from all backgrounds and cultures. The campus is in the heart of Delhi and is one of the most prominently located and beautiful 'North Campus'. The college has a huge ground and plenty of facilities to keep alive the sportsperson in you. Now, coming to societies and clubs, DU is known for its student societies and so is the College. There are inter-college competitions and IITs all over India to showcase their talents.
