Remarks

MHTCET scores were accepted and admission was via CAP rounds of DTE where we had to provide our own preference list of institute and course offerings. Based on our priority, seat availability, and our CET scores, and our category, seat allotment was done in 5 CAP online rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview

Wanted to work in IT industry, thus preference list had only CE IT courses. There were around 20 teachers for the entire CE IT department, teaching methods varied by the teacher. Qualification of faculty and quality of teaching is not at all correlated at any college. Term exams were difficult but the grading was relative thus passing remains uniform.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Most companies that offer full-time roles also hire 2month summer interns. Over 85% of students got internships, and many even got pre-placement offers, so they didn't even need to apply for full-time roles. 6-month internship in the final year is only for masters.

Placement Experience

Students are offered internships during the 3rd year and Placement in the final year by TPO. A lot of companies like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, SAP Labs, Oracle, Citi, JP Morgan, Accolite, Barclays, Samsung, Udaan, PWC, UBS, Fractal, Deloitte, Deutsche, Rakuten, IBM, MSCI visit campus regularly. These stats are for CE IT only. Above 95% students got placement. Many students also go for MS directly. Highest domestic package offered for batch of 2020 was around 32lakhs. Average package can be around 10lacs. Most profiles are SDE or analyst.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are comparatively very affordable at around 75k per year. I got Tution Fee Waiver Scheme by Government which was 15000 per year. Placement opportunities is the primary reason why most people choose VJTI.

Campus Life

Technovanza, Enthusia, Pratibimb are annual tech sports and cultural festivals conducted in December. Books are available and the library is recently renewed. Classrooms are average given that it is a Govt college, although some departments like Civil have better Alumni support resulting in more renewed classrooms. gymkhana needs renovation. 3 huge grounds available. Community Of Coders https://www.communityofcoders.in , Society of Robotics and Automation, AERO VJTI, Debate and Literary Arts, Entrepreneurship Cell are some of the clubs.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered by this college. Top companies like Tata Motors, Bajaj, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Wipro pari, etc. Average placement for mechanical branch is about 9lpa while that for computer and entc goes up to 15lpa.

I Actually don't applied for any other college my preference from first was VJTI only however I do add SPIT on my 2nd preference I don't get rejected I just choose VJTI because it has a great background than any other college also it's location is quite good to get admission students must give an exam name mht cet which is Maharashtra state common entrance test through which they get admission in my course and many other once result is out the admission has to be done through cap round cutoff for my course is between 95-99%+ile depends on various factors like reservation and etc etc overall admission process takes some days but it is worthy...Read More

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it.
