Remarks

I applied in this college just for the computer science branch. Placements in this college is ok. You can expect service-based companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO etc. But not the product-based companies. I got the wbjee rank 16828 and i have sc quota , so i got this branch. The admission procedure was very straightforward. You just need to score in wbjee well.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is satisfactory when you compare it with tire 1 colleges like IITs & NITs. But you have to pay very low fees and the college curriculum doesn't bother you too much compared to the private colleges, so you can learn as many things as you want.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 8700 per year

Placement Experience

In between the 6th and 7th semesters, the companies start to visit this college. You can get a job if you are sincere enough. The average package one can expect is - 4 to 5 lacs. Placements in the computer science department is good but if you want to get a job from a product-based company, you have to apply off-campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is very much affordable. And you can apply for many scholarships. You have to pay less than 50,000 is the whole 4 years, so that is a pro. And you can apply for the Swami Vivekananda scholarship and oyasis scholarship.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest held every year. You can get a lot of exposure and experience. Social life is decent. Berhampore is a very old town. You can get an ample amount of food in every corner of the town. Many extracurricular activities are there. But the coding club is not that responsive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190
