Remarks

I feel that Jai Hind is one chilled out college which offers a lot of opportunities to students. The college isn't strict about attendance or dressing rules which make it an attractive college for a certain section of students but it's also a place filled with budding entrepreneurs and students trying to leave a mark in this world.

Entrance Preview

Jai Hind doesn't require any entrance test. I scored 94.5% in my 12th grade to get admission in Jai Hind.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Joining BMS was the best decision that I have ever taken. Jai Hind's BMS offers a lot of activities in almost all the fields. There are various fests/programs run solely by the BMS department. This gives students a chance to become a leader and excel in their for.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell has a tie up with various renowned companies like KPMG, E&Y, etc. We were also provided with a chance to intern with upcoming start-ups like Greensole, makemydrink etc.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell is pretty active recently KPMG, E&Y, Deloitte, Media.net, WatConsult, Oberoi Group etc. came to college. Since the past couple of years, Google has also been recruiting interns from Jai Hind. The pay structure is somewhere around 3-5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

5

Jai Hind hosts a lot of festivals some of which are: Talaash-The oldest and biggest management festival of Mumbai, Entourage- organized by BAF, BFM, and BBI, kani- Literry festival, Arthanomics- An economics centered festival, JAF-BA, Shout- Cultural festival, Detour- BMM festival many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is very much affordable it is somewhere around sixteen thousand to twenty thousand per year. The books are also very cheap (approximately 150/- per book) there is an extra charge for Wifi in college premises library is free and accessible the fees has to be paid lump sum but in special cases provisions are made.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a sumito scholarship offered to the college students other than that, I am not aware of any such scholarships provided by my college.

Campus Life

2

The campus life is very good the campus is full of energy when a person walks in they would see some people dancing, some singing, some practicing for a fashion show, some rehearsing for a street play, some playing basketball and some just engrossed in their laptops trying to complete their projects. Jai Hind gives opportunities to everyone in almost every field from modeling to entrepreneurship, it's up to the student to avail the chance.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Jai Hind doesn't have the hostel facility. Since, it's located at a prime location the rent in the nearby vicinity is pretty high. 1 BHK in the area would cost one around 50-60 thousand INR. Tiffin systems are quite active. Cooks are easily available and would cost around 5000 per month. There are private hostels nearby but the waiting line is long.

Alumni/Alumna

I have actively worked in Talaash and the alumni were very approachable and helpful. The college also has an annual alumni meet and there is a close alumni network. A lot of renowned people like Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachan, Piyush Goyal etc. have graduated from Jai Hind.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is alright the board exams are done with adherence to the Mumbai University while the internal are taken by the college. Internals comprise of a presentation and a written exam. The presentation topics are sometimes difficult. All of such projects are group projects.

Admission

You just need to have the required cut off, fill up the online and offline application form and if all the documents are verified then you get a call. The admission process is handled by the students and overlooked by the coordinator. The volunteers are very helpful, the admission procedure is very transparent and easy to understand.

Faculty

3.5

There are some very good guest lecturers like Mr. Kishu Daswani, Dr. Rakhi Sharma etc. The faculty is not the best it could be but it's also not very bad. Certain professors are extraordinary while some are alright. Dr. Rakhi Sharma, the BMS coordinator gives challenging case studies instead of regular textbooks. Mr. Daswani provides examples from his court life and gives us practical examples of the theory.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

I am interested in the banking and finance since 11th because of my good accounts in this college I am able to learn the different aspects of banking and finance the college also held some mentoring about the course and career guidance. One thing I don't like is the test they took every time when one lesson got finish they took the test and us that any of the test will consider as internal and just before the exam they give so many projects and assignments and also tell us to complete the book then only they will give the internal marks and allow to write the external
