Remarks

The admission process is very easy to direct came to my college. No entrance exam for studying students but next onwards they told entrance exam will be conducted. This college is very peaceful and neat. The infrastructure is so beautiful. Placement and internship are maxima available for all students. The minimum mark is 50% or more for admission in my college-age is not an issue for studying.

This is my favourite and this is so easy and valued bachelor in animation. Student ratio is correct and providing the correct method of teaching and Covid distance keeping. MPhil studied staffs are only for teaching. 3 months once semester exam will conduct yearly 3 exams were there.

Reliance, Tata, Himson, Drdo are the companies giving internship opportunities foldable bike mobile app for aged person recovery of people deep borrow well robot doctor for drowsiness while driving. Alerting and device for autism. Automated plastic recycling machine.

Placement Experience

8-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Wipro, Infosys, Tata and provide offers a totally of 800 students for placements. Making a cartoon series of my own after completing and getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

65000 per year fees. No scholarship for this course. Fees shoulder paid by 2-time payment method for time payment 35000 second time payment is 30000 fees are very low and correct this fees payment is very easy and we can pay the fees by UPI also.

Campus Life

Farewell day college iv and practical classes and tours are also conducted in this college. Smart classrooms full AC. All labs are available and so. Many practical classed will be conducted for student development. Football, Tennis, Cricket are sports conducted in the college. Scout and guides and national cadet corps are the social groups.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are packed. Weekly thrice non-vegs meals foods are so tasty and healthy they providing milk banana and coconut water daily students must eat some food. Food quality 100%. Hostel registration college providing easy methods.

An overview on my life as an Fddi - student who is still yet to graduate

Likes

The peaceful nature and surroundings give me an mindful experience and it’s preety clean and fresh
Do the students conducts the events together , which is cool all batches join together and from scratch work on uplifting and enjoying the event making it memorable

Dislikes

The network issues at times are disturbing at time

The course aspects in the 1 st year majorly focuses on developing and understanding how and what is needed to satisfy user needs and wants and ahead while designing or working on products personally I was able to relate and understand and think from user aspect ! Mid semesters consist for 1 hr exam with 5 mins reading time and for end semester depends as in 1 st year it's neutral for all we had 2 hr for theory and other for practical's and then after departments are separated fashion department has more of practical exams and submissions compared to footwear department but it's depends .

Creative freedom - freedom to pursue design as something personal.

Dislikes

College location - outside city and main roads are not accessible
Lack of planning here with events, exams etc
College hours- too lengthy and monotonous

Placement Experience:

Placements in FDDI Chennai are average. But the rising competition in this field is also an important factor to consider here. Placements here are not just design based but also with Visual merchandising, retail, production, styling, leather, home furnishing related jobs as well.

FDDI Chennai offers decent campus placements especially for students in: Footwear Design & Production Fashion Design Many industry leaders in footwear, fashion, and retail visit the campus. Companies like Bata, Puma, Reliance Retail, Adidas, Clarks, etc., have recruited in the past. Internships are also provided,which often convert into job offers. Average packages are modest but growing, depending on the student's skills and specialization. If No Campus Placement: If a student doesn’t get placed through campus recruitment, employability remains high due to: Industry-Relevant Skills (CAD, pattern making, material knowledge) Strong Portfolio Development Entrepreneurship Opportunities Freelancing in fashion, styling, or product design Further studies (Master’s programs in design, management, etc.) Future Plans May Include: Starting your own brand or label Working in design studios or export houses Applying for government or private sector roles Studying abroad or pursuing a specialized diploma/PG course

Is VIT a good Place to learn Bachelor of Design (Industrial design)?

First of all the infrastructure at VIT tends to be of next level, which provides us with almost covers all the necessities for the students in terms of academics and sports. It has separate blocks for different academic courses and plenty of labs
The campus is huge covering acres of lush green and clean areas which helps us feel relaxed. The campus provides with plenty of gyms , swimming pools, number of sports ground, indoor stadiums, (basketball, tennis, volleyball) courts etc...
The campus is very safe with securities around almost everywhere at such a huge campus. They have done a good job with the shuttle buses, so that we can travel throughout the campus at just 15 rupees.

Dislikes

The so known "Red Tag Annas" who are part of the security team might become a headache for students especially when girls and boys interact with each others. They tend to be too strict and acts weird when boys and girls stand together stating "PDA"
The curfew timings is very hectic for students especially for female students who have a difficult time coming outside. It kind of destroys the freedom to students to get exposure from the outside world , I believe that it is a part of learning.
The facilities outside the college isn't as good as inside since it lacks in activities that we can engage while we are outside. If this is also the made better then the college would best in class for students from outside India too.

Placement Experience:

Since VIT is known for their campus placements , there is no shortage in placements as of now. This year almost all the students who sat for placemennts who had 8 or above CGPA did well with their placements.The topper is also known to get a placemnt of 50 lpa, but he average remains to be 7lpa. Moreover if you have a good cgpa you will get a good internship by third year.Everything depends on the CGAPA that you maintain through your course.70% of students were placed. Iam most probably going to sit for placements if not I hope i will be trained enough to get placements on my own.TCS is known to be giving the most number of placements folllowed by some other industrial ccompanies and startups.

The faculty are highly qualified as they are chosen based on their working experience.
The campus life is very interesting in Hindustan you to the presence of literary and music club
The fees here is quite reasonable and less when compared to other colleges.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 6th semester. The placements we get are purely based on our performance in college. The companies that visit our college for placements are IBM, TCL, etc. The highest sale package as per the company offered is 12L per annum. The percentage of students getting placements is 70- 80%

Remarks:

The college is a top-ranked college in terms of architecture. The infrastructure of the college is at par with the standards which should be there in an architecture college. I have many fond memories of the college. The standard of teaching and placements are pretty good.

4 years that changed my life
