Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for the B.tech course was good and had all the necessary knowledge you need for the industry if you concentrate and study. As in each semester you will have 4 cycles tests and 1 university exam. In which you should score 50% and above to clear the paper
Internships Opportunities
The college allows students to attend internships outside of the college and provides the necessary support to complete the training. It is compulsory to do at least one internship in our college for placement.
Placement Experience
The university offers placement opportunities to those students who has over 6 CGPA in 10th 12 th and in college. As these are the basic companies requirements. It also provides placement training to all the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total cost of studying B.tech in SRM was around 2 lakhs per year plus there is an additional 10k and 15k as the collect as book and cdc fee. If you write SRMJEEE and score a good ranking you will get scholarship which will some percentage of discount on the tuition fee. As of every academic year the fee has been increased I was on 2021 batch.
Campus Life
The campus life in SRM is very fun and indulging as it hosts minimum 2 events every every semester and also conducts flash mobs every week. There are also many clubs in which anyone can join and the club are totally managed by the students.
Admission
I chose SRM university because of its name and the value it holds in the college system. As SRM is in the top 10 of the nirf ranking and it has a very good infrastructure and education system. It also provides good placement
Faculty
The faculty members of the University are all phd holders and very knowledgeable. The B.tech course consist a average of 5 papers each semester and there is a total of 8 semester and in each semester you will have 3 cycles test which will be considered for internal mark. And the internal marks are for 50% of the total marks and the other 50% is written in university exam.
Night Life
The night is good for boys because the hostel gate closed at around 8 pm and there are cafe, gym ,parks etc to explore around the campus. But for girls the reporting time is 6 pm which is strictly followed
