Course Curriculum Overview

2

As i already mentioned in the previous question that the course is outdated and the college is teaching those tech that company stopped using decades ago so the curriculum and syllabus should be changed with time so that the students are industry level prepared after their 4 years. Teaching is good but only limited to the textbooks and nobody provides real life scenarios and real life problems, that what lack in teaching methods come. Here we have 2 CLA with a gap of 1 month and both are of 50 marks and then we have 75 marks of SEM exams that includes all 5 units and according to me the paper is to the point and not that difficult. The one who studies can easily score marks.

Internships Opportunities

3

Barclays,Amazon,JP Morgan Chase, EY and many more company gives intership offers with the stipend of 20k-80k per month. They mostly demand for software engineer and about projects, then i have not that much knowledge about it. I have not done any internship till now as i am still sharpening my skill but within a month or two will start the intership.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible from the end of the third year and they get the offer of interships but after completeing their 7 sem they are eligible for the campus placements. Many comapnies like Amazon, Adobe,JP Morgan Chase etc and the highest package is 42LPA and the lowest goes to 3LPA for the role of Software Developer Engineer. Almost 70-80percent get placed from the campus. I will get into the job for some experience after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

my college fees is 340000/yr , the book fees is 15000/yr and the career development course fees is 25000/yr. They charge Rs100-200 for development fees and for id card they took Rs650. My other batchmates are paying different fees, like one girl is on scholarship and she is only paying 80k per year and they give some financial benifits to sc and st people.

Campus Life

4

The college conducts an annual event name TEXUS and many other event on festivals, like for onam or diwali, etc they conduct events. The college have lots of books in the library and also they have ebook feature for those who live far from college but i don't have that much idea about the books as i rare use them since we have much better source and online facility. We have a big sports complex that has badminton court, basketball court, footballcourt, cricket net court and many other in one building. They allow the students to play the sports they want in the complex. They also have many board games too. Our classes have a projector for giving presentation. There are many sports clubs and social groups like NSS, Campus Life, etc. But the only issue is with the language like all the events and programs are in their own native language making it difficult to understand.

Hostel Facilities

3

Our hostel has good rooms whether it is ac or non ac rooms, they have fised study tables and the there is no power cut also the room is cleaned by the maids and toilets too and size of the room is very big. The hostel has 24*7 wifi facilty and the only issue is the mess food, they are not good tastes bland and have same type of food, mostly they focus of south dishes never caters to north dish and if rarely they do then also the quality of food is very poor the chapatis are not cooked properly and it becomes difficult to eat in mess.

Admission

I applied to many college and got selected too from their entrance exam but since i had no idea about counselling form and got wrong guidance from my professor that's why i was got selected in any of the college, i got good score in MHT CET, COMEDK, AIEEE, VIT and in all due to lack of proper guidance i got the seat but in that field which i don't want. Later i got to know that my coaching professor told me to fill the form but actually they way he told was wrong i was filling the field that i dont want on the first priority and the field i want as the last, basically filling the form in opposite order and that's why i finally gave SRMJEE exam and here i got selected and then i came here.

Faculty

4

The student can easily approach the faculty and can ask their doubts. Not only that few faculty are available on whatsapp and call for some sort of help. There are few faculty that i geuinely like such as Rajesh Kanna, Ganga Devi, etc and the reson is very simple as they help the students, and clarify them without getting annoyed as other faculty get irritated quickly and looses their patience but these teacher knows how to handle a class and how to control and maintain decorem also their way of teaching is much much better than others. So the college conducts 2 CLA exams and that has 2 units in cla 1 and 3 units in cla 2 both of 50 marks and then the final sem exams for 75 marks having all 5 units in the syllabus. The exam is never too difficult nor too easy it is just that you have to refer the notes and get an overview rest if someone knows how to frame an answer using key terms then it becomes easy to score marks and here in srm if you didn't study at all or left the paper blank of filled something unrellevant then onyl you will fail else no one fails. Course is outdated and that's why company gives training to the newbies and if college students are taught up with latest syllabus and there won't be a need for any training.

Interview Experience

5

Yeah i gave SRMJEEE exam and got som rank of 1105 and then got selected here and after coming to the college for admission they tooked my interview, around 5 professor were there and they asked me question regarding my career and all those stuff and not related to any past education syllabus, just like a general interview also i wasn't prepared for the interview and gave my best and got selected there too.

Night Life

3

Our college have gym that in just next to the boys hostel and we have excellent canteen that gives good and cheap rates food catering to all types of people from veg to non veg each and everything. We are allowed to come back by 8:30pm for boys and for girls it is before 6pm and that also with prior permission. and we are not allowed to raom outside the the hostel, the gate is locked form outside to no nightlife.
