An overview on my life as an Fddi - student who is still yet to graduate

The course aspects in the 1 st year majorly focuses on developing and understanding how and what is needed to satisfy user needs and wants and ahead while designing or working on products personally I was able to relate and understand and think from user aspect ! Mid semesters consist for 1 hr exam with 5 mins reading time and for end semester depends as in 1 st year it's neutral for all we had 2 hr for theory and other for practical's and then after departments are separated fashion department has more of practical exams and submissions compared to footwear department but it's depends .

So compared to others colleges, can be from government or even private I feel it's affordable and preeety mcuh worth per sem 1,50,000 is paid and Tution fees , consisting with medical and library and extra activities.the payment is done each semester wise and then goes ahead the same after .preety much there are concession fees and also scholarships and finincial aids provided ! Well if your from a general category there is no mcuh aid or any scheme but if ur from other category's there is scholarship being provided and aids with their family income below some specific amount . As an overall I'm convinced and actually fine with the fees acquired for this course as private universities are over hyped and huge amounts are paid .yes my batch mates do have all the scholarships and etc. in addition the admission is from us better merit you get the top elected campus by you will be given or if it's not you will have to go ahead with next by next rounds

Overall it's preety good campus , an good greedy environment, does have workshops at times and also celebrates cultural events respecting each tradition with an extra element of dj night all this with help of teacher and students contributing together as one whole family ,library is immerse -preety wise range of books , and events are fun from sports to extracurricular events and activities !

Admission process is preety simple , first preferred to register for admission in the website from online then you will all the details and submit data / documents then ahead you will specify which department and then ahead u will select an set of campuses ahead and if ur other category's you will have to submit the needed proofs and if ur general there will be no need , after that aist exam will be there and u will have to register and pay the amount and exam date will be said forward then ,after attending the examination the results will be out and you will have to enter data of ur username and ur results will be shown and placement of campus if u accept it u will have to pay an specific amount or even if ur not ok with the campus it's the same , later after ur duration of 4 years at the end the amount will be refunded back .so there is a choice helps to reapply for changing of the campus and this helps the college to re consider your application.

College provides both fashion and footwear in Chennai campus Fddi . So both these courses are of 4 years each , consisting of 8 semesters and the first year is equally same for both fashion department and footwear so here we learn subjects which provide knowledge for both the streams and help us to build and undertake different design thinking aspects and understand user needs and wants .so the faculties who comes in first year isn't complusory to come in upcoming semester as for the first two semesters all teachers can take classes Regardless . Facilities preety much help us strive more and dealing with real life situations and perspectives . Each semester has two sets of exams one is the mid semester which happens in between the semester and the end semester , both of them include subject theory marks and also practical's which helps to understand an implement accordingly .we had various subjects like cad rhino a really impressive software , abode photoshop and illustrator and leather subject to understand different types and how it's useful for specific type of products and garments . Theory wise had impressive subjects like ergonomics , design thinking which helped in understanding user purpose and users ideology while ergonomics helped to understand the structural aspect in redesigning according to user needs .exams are of course easy when your prepared , and it's not super hard but cgpa is super important from your first semester and it can help you in upcoming semesters ahead

There wernt any group discussions but yes there is an entrance examination which takes place ,well involved mathematical and general to science and etc . For preparation I went through past year papers and got from other online sources

Well , I am an day scholar and preety mcuh it's fun Sharing rooms with friends and hanging out and chilling preety fun. The Coe and the hostel area stone bentch holds my heart , a lot of memories and food titfin at night specifically is yummy
