Remarks
Pros:Low fees and high ROI. Best college for CAT aspirants with work experience to do an MBA. The course duration was only one year. Smaller batch size ment that there wasn't a high competition to get placed. Very good professors, especially for operations and economicsCons:Grading is comparative and batch size is small as such there will be differences in GPA even if there is very little difference in raw marks. As the course is short the density of work is very high. If you are lucky to be in the hostel amongst friends it will be bearable, but working in groups in online mode is a pain.
Course Curriculum Overview
Information management as this was my primary area of interest and operations as this is a field were analytics is applied these days. Some other honorable mentions are strategy and most importantly HR. The finance department would call for previous exposure to the field
Placement Experience
students become eligible for campus placements from the 3 rd trimester. Once the placement committee is formed they reach out to different companies and the number of opportunities that a candidate will get depends on his past experience, number of years worked and different skill sets that they have acquired. Here IT professionals with work ex between 5 to 10 years have an advantage. It is advisable to do extra certificates like Data science, Business Analyst and be ready
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure for the NMP course is 13 lakhs tution fees and 3 lakhs hostel fees. However the hostel fees was waived off in our case due to the lockdown. This in my view is reasonable considering the median CTC is around 14 lpa. There are no scholarship/campus jobs/assistance that I know off
Campus Life
2020 was a difficult year for all the colleges. We could hardly be at college due to the Chinese virus. Once inside there was only restricted movement and we would spend most on the time in our rooms or playing cricket on the grounds. Otherwise it was an online experience for most of the part.
Hostel Facilities
We were each given single rooms to ourselves. There weren't many students in the college so the mess too operated in limited capacity. The food provided was hygienic and just in time. Rooms were clean and spacious
