Remarks

Pros:Low fees and high ROI. Best college for CAT aspirants with work experience to do an MBA. The course duration was only one year. Smaller batch size ment that there wasn't a high competition to get placed. Very good professors, especially for operations and economicsCons:Grading is comparative and batch size is small as such there will be differences in GPA even if there is very little difference in raw marks. As the course is short the density of work is very high. If you are lucky to be in the hostel amongst friends it will be bearable, but working in groups in online mode is a pain.

Information management as this was my primary area of interest and operations as this is a field were analytics is applied these days. Some other honorable mentions are strategy and most importantly HR. The finance department would call for previous exposure to the field

Placement Experience

students become eligible for campus placements from the 3 rd trimester. Once the placement committee is formed they reach out to different companies and the number of opportunities that a candidate will get depends on his past experience, number of years worked and different skill sets that they have acquired. Here IT professionals with work ex between 5 to 10 years have an advantage. It is advisable to do extra certificates like Data science, Business Analyst and be ready

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure for the NMP course is 13 lakhs tution fees and 3 lakhs hostel fees. However the hostel fees was waived off in our case due to the lockdown. This in my view is reasonable considering the median CTC is around 14 lpa. There are no scholarship/campus jobs/assistance that I know off

Campus Life

2020 was a difficult year for all the colleges. We could hardly be at college due to the Chinese virus. Once inside there was only restricted movement and we would spend most on the time in our rooms or playing cricket on the grounds. Otherwise it was an online experience for most of the part.

Hostel Facilities

We were each given single rooms to ourselves. There weren't many students in the college so the mess too operated in limited capacity. The food provided was hygienic and just in time. Rooms were clean and spacious

Likes

Institute’s infrastructure is really good with a green and pollution free environment regular maintenance is being undertaken by the staff maintaining a clean and free space.
Friendly faculty is there for students always ready to help.
College ensures there are regular events help engage students.

Dislikes

As a day scholar timings sometimes annoy a bit.
There are restrictions for going out for students after 2:00 clock
Traffic on the connecting road makes it difficult to reach on time to university.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for placement from 6th semester , many companies like Jio , Reliance , Airtel , TCS employ students from the college , highest package is 50 lakh average is 5 lakh , 70% students get placement, my plan is to continue with the family business after getting the degree.

The infrastrucutre of this institution is very good providing good facility and aslo iy is best for security purposes.
The faculity is very good and friendly for students.
Mentor mentee sessions are one of the best sessions for us students.

Dislikes

The timing for classes sometime had a long gap in between them.
There are restriction for students to go out and come in within a specific period of time.
There is difficulty for students in transportation timings.

Placement Experience:

Students became eligible for placements in 6 semesters.company like infosys,nvidia, reliance and ATC . Almost 45 to 50 percent students get placed. I have to do business after degree.highest package got over 2 cr per annum.

Great Career Opportunities

Likes

The campus is very open and well structured
It has spacious classrooms and great auditoriums
The labs and research labs are constructed exceptionally well

Dislikes

Some classrooms don't have projectors and smart boards
Hostel mess food isn't exactly great, only few canteens provide actual tasty food
The university's clubs aren't given many opportunities to put on events and are handled very strictly

Placement Experience:

The last year of your course is for internships and placements and Amity University greatly helps out in both areas the highest package is 5 LPA from only the bachelors degree. There are many companies that visit like Amul, Yakult and Mother Dairy etc. The university makes sure that every student in the batch is placed and has placement cells to help them out

Great university with great career opportunities

Likes

Faculty is very supportive and they help you out in every step by explaining everything easy for you to grab and they are very friendly and supportive. My every faculty has taught me the best ways how to ace in my exam and in my course.
Best part is the library. I enjoy studying a lot there. Canteen and mess are also very clean and very nice place to spend time with your friend to relax from the exhaustion of classes. And I really enjoy my college life here in Amity University, Hary
classrooms and labs are really very maintained. Clean and hygiene is always maintained. The proper supply of electricity and clean environment. I really enjoy studying there with my friends as they also help me in my studies and the faculty is good

Dislikes

Exams exhaust me a lot, but they handleable

I don't think that the curriculum in teaching needs change because they are already doing their best in giving the best output and knowledge to the students. In my course, my faculty members are really very polite friendly and they are teaching method is very understandable and the notes they provide helps a lot in exams and further competitive examinations

The swayam course which University has provided is not useful at all

The faculty here is very Co-operatvive, and understanding
The university is good at Co-curicular activities
The different types of club activities help a student to engage themselves in a productive nature

Dislikes

The university needs maintaince and cleanliness
The timings of the university should be managed, because 4:45 is too late
The event management needs a great eye on it, the events are very boring and most of the events are not even available for the day scholars

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Political science as a course because I am keen to understand politics, the curriculum is good, it helps me understand the real world with the help of the faculty members. The gaps between the exams should be maintained.

Infrastructure is good. Campus is green.
Ac is Good. They work 24*7. Almost everytime it works
Greenery is good here. Plants and trees.

Dislikes

Staff and people have are very toxic. Specially elders.
Environment is bad, despitinh rest everything being good.
People are fighting here always. That makes you sick.

Courses are good. Study curriculum is good. Courses are well organised including extra departmental subjects. Structure is well structured.Study is well going according to the course. Exams happens twice a year

Likes

Good mentors. They have guided for career also
Good infrastructure like library specially
Globalized curriculum and good friends also.

Dislikes

Toilets are not always clean. Some are but not all
Bus leaves college late sometimes not always
Overall friendly but some ppeple creat nuisances

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum is great. In my course uts inclusive of national as well as international aspects there is interesting things all over. It prepares for exams as well. Frequency and timing of exams is regular. Thats good for testing us. Improvements can be done to include more pratcucal things.

I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
