We don not have any specializations in IIM Shillong. Instead we can select from a variety of courses offered in different domains in our 2nd year. Some of the faculty are outstanding but most are average. We also get very good guest faculties from other top IIMs and abroad. Our course got delayed due to covid 19 but exams were still done in a timely manner. Difficulty level was moderate.

I interned in Mangal Credit and Fincorp Ltd, a Mumbai based NBFC. Most of our recruiters who come for finals also recruits for Summer Internships. Most offers are made in the marketing domain. Companies usually have a fixed training program for management interns irrespective of which B-school they recruit from. Many of us especially in the consulting and IB domains get a chance to work on actual projects which is a great learning experience.

We get a host of recruiters from different domains. Most of the offers are made in Marketing doamin. Course fees is 10,32,800 for 1st year and 10,03,000 for 2nd year. The fees was hiked for our batch compared to last batch. They gave a minor concession due to classes being done online but most of us still believe it is unnecessarily expensive.Financial assistance is only offered to students whose family income is below 6 lakhs. I did not get any financial assistance or stipend on campus.

Old campus was very beautiful and aesthetic. Shillong climate and starry nights makes it even better. We didn't have a full fledged cricket or football ground but other sports facilities like badminton, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, etc were available. All class rooms are wifi enabled with digi-boards. Khlurthma is our annual college fest and it is conducted in November. There are a lot of clubs and committees. Much of our time were spent in quarantine but hostels are well equipped with wifi, ro water and other facilities. Bathrooms and alleyways are kept clean. Hostels are mandatory and the fees is included in the fee structure provided earlier. Mess is huge, meal timings are great and food is decent. We also have night canteen for late night cravings.
