Remarks

The admission process for this college is very simple. 1. The counseling is organized by WBJEE Board. 2. After that, if there remain some extra seats then a special round called "Decentralised counseling" is conducted by the College Authorities. 3. For lateral entry, the candidate has to qualify JELET exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

To join this college you have to qualify WBJEE exam which is not as hard as JEE Main. But to get admission to this college, you have to score decent marks (under 10k for general) . For CSE and ece branches, the cutoff is a little bit high but for other branches, the cutoff is not that much.

Internships Opportunities

As I am a first-year undergraduate student so I am not doing any offline internship but I am doing some internships in online mode. The internship program is very good in our college and from the 3rd year one can get it.

Placement Experience

As this is a new college, I don't expect more. But some of my seniors are doing very well in their field. 1. Most of my seniors went to various NITs and IITs for M.Tech through the GATE exam. 2. Some students got PSUs 3. TPO cell of our college is improving day by day. Campus placement is not that good and not that bad. Especially for core branch campus placement is not that good (According to my seniors). 95 students got a placement through CP. Some got PPO 4. Some of them went for MBA and I also want to go for further studies.

Story of hit

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
