Remarks

I have been selected through JEE Mains rank by JOSAA selection and I have got IIIT Pune in the last round of selection. I have been selected through the OBC quota and my rank was 11519 in the general quota.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have gone through the basic information about all the courses and selected CSE and ECE to take in. So I have opted for two courses CSE and ECE in IIIT Pune then I got ECE so I got in. The faculty are very highly educated and passed out from some of the reputed colleges. The student ratio is quite normal. They teach us very well.

Internships Opportunities

Our college has got many companies from international MNC's. We got companies like Gojek, M&M, Rakuten, etc. Our seniors have done many big projects which got a good name at big colleges. Some of our seniors worked in DRDO by having projects.

Placement Experience

The placements of the college are pretty good. Placements are boosting up every year when compared to last year's placement. At most, all the students who are applying for placements are getting placed in the first quarter of the 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a 1st-year student so I haven't gone for internships. The fees hike is likely to be about 10% every year. From last year we haven't got a hike in fees due to the ongoing pandemic. We are expecting a total amount of 13 lakhs for 4 years of study at the college.

Campus Life

Since the pandemic is going on I haven't seen or visited the campus. Online classes are running for us since December 2020. We have separate clubs for sports and many other. The sports club's name is Eklavya and the dance club's name is Saaz. We have a coding club name Bitlegion. These all are run by senior students.

Hostel Facilities

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are studying in online classes since December 2020. We haven't yet received any official notice about the college opening. Once we receive any official information we will get notified.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. This College was on my top priority as It is in the city Pune . The Emerging IT city in India . As the Name is IIIT it also attracts me . At the time of Counselling i have filled Branches in ECE of NIT and CS of IIIT . Initially i was alloted IIIT Bhopal but inn the 5th round IIIT Pune was alloted . My Parent was happy as Pune is Nice city. My College Infrastructure is Good but not as expected. If we compare my College to Private than it is far Good and all the facilites are nice. Yeah we can say that we are new but we can say that we are not less than New NIts. For Entrance in IIIT Pune You need to qualify the JEE Main Exam with Good Percentile. My experience of iiit pune

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it.
