Remarks

It was really easy. If u understand the cut off procedure then it's nothing. Obviously, the staff and teachers made it easy to fill forms and attach various documents which were required. Also, the counselling was done by the eco honours faculty telling about the course, subjects and every aspect.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because of my interest in economic affairs. Talking about the faculty, to be honest, the teachers are well qualified with teaching experience of 12 - 15 years. They possess a lot of knowledge, skill, methodology and expertise. Eco faculty is a big one comprising of 10 teachers and only taking bachelors into account the faculty student ratio is like 10:45 ie 2:9. All are really cooperative and available whenever needed. DU exams are held twice a year. Of course, the level is high and u need to put in a lot of efforts.

Class Size: 46Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have good internship opportunities. Before covid set its roots we had an internship fair. Many good companies came and set up their desks for interviews. It was a good experience. It is a nice thing when your own college gives u such amazing opportunities.

Placement Experience

Covid has made it quite difficult to be a part of placements now. Honestly speaking I don't possess the knowledge about this first handedly. No information is available right now looking at the current situation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are around 7500 to 8000 which is likely affordable. Talking about financial help, scholarship, internships and jobs, we have a career fair, internship fair, placement cell for that. Also earn and grow programs have supported many over time.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is ok. Fests are organised taking into account the time, exams and everything. We have various clubs and societies. There are a good amount of books in the library and it is quite big. Washrooms have been a problem and a disadvantage too. Sports and extracurricular activities are many, we have a big ground and sports teachers too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

I applied to almost all colleges offering the course that i have chosen, i got confirmed admissions in majority of them, however I chose this college because of it's location, unique exposure and the faculty. However, some of the colleges I applied to rejected me too, as this course is highly competitive and very few colleges offer this course, I acknowledge that I am not the best and hence I lost my spot in those colleges. Interest in Business and Economics and getting a DU Degree is the only reason to go here in 2025.

There are only 10 colleges offering BBE in Delhi University. So, therefore, the course is high in demand. It is a professional course so the college is still in the process of adapting to a professional setting. I applied for all other colleges offering BBE in DU, and got admitted here via the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET). My preference was to go to Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce to pursue this same course, but the cutoff for the same is very high.
