Remarks

MBA in Pondicherry university is very good as it is much more cheaper as compared to other B-schools. It was affordable for me as well. It also ranks 9th among Central Universities in NIRF as well and Pondi also is a very beautiful place with beaches and coconuts tree all around. The people living there are also very nice.So in order to study here, I had to sit for the MBA entrance test and then after being shortlisted I had to sit for my counselling. I also had a group discussion followed by a PI. The application form of the college was around Rs 800, it must by increased a bit more now. The documents that i had to submit was my graduation marksheets with a minimum of 50%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I basically wanted to pursue my MBA because i wanted to become an entrepreneur. The course has taught me leadership skills to set up my own business. This included in learning to write a business plan, plan a marketing campaign, forecast accounts and schedule production. I have also learnt more about digital marketing, accounts and finance as well and other traits required to build a business empire. We had internal semesters followed by external examination as well. Our faculty consisted of PHD graduates, professors and assistant professors with an industry experience of more than years.

Placement Experience

4

We have a placement cell, who helps us with the placement. It starts taking place from the final semester onwards. More than 100 companies visit the university for different departments. In my department, the placement interview process took place over zoom meeting as it was during the time of the pandemic. I too opted for placement although i never wanted to work, but for the sake of experience i did it. I was working as a finance analyst in Ocrlolus with a starting package of 4 lakhs. It was a good package and i did it for about a year and quit the job to start something on my own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I paid 1.5 lakhs in total. Per semester it was about 35k. The fees are hiked every year by a very less amount. It is pretty reasonable and not very expensive. We also have scholarships available. There are many types of scholarships available, from waive offs to full scholarships. We also have Government of India SC /ST /OBC Scholarship, Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child and many other scholarships of which the information is available through college office or even the college scholarship portal.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is pretty amazing. It has play grounds for various activities like athletics, football, basketball etc. It also comprises of hostels for boys as well as girls, a well equipped reading room, healthcare centers as well. We celebrate mostly all major events like freshers welcome, teachers day celebration, it differs from campus to campus. We also have student councils who look into all these events. NCC and NSS is also available as well.

Placement Experience:

There is no placement history for our course. The main department offering placement in the campus is mba . They have the highest placement history . Also MCA people have placements . Companies like tcs , hdfc bank etc visit. Approximately 50% students get placement. Since there is no placement in our department , I'm planning to take masters.
