Remarks

I applied to St Thomas autonomous college in Thrissur. I joined for temporary and I attended one month class. Then I got rank in CUSAT so I brought tc from St Thomas Thrissur and joined in CUSAT. I have no quota. I got a seat in 1st allotment in the EEE batch. The admission has occurred on a mark basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like electrical based theory. So I chose this course. In my class, there are 68 students. The faculties qualifications are most of the PhD holders others have higher qualifications for teaching. There are sem exams here.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 94050 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are so many companies offering internships with stipend. Most of the companies are IT companies. I have no projects yet because I am a 1st year student. I heard about internship and projects senior told me about that.

Placement Experience

7th semester and 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. After this degree, I took a job in government or if I got placement I will go for that. I think 90 percent of students got placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

I get the rank in all India merit so I give 47025 rupees for a sem. There are 8 semesters in the btech course. I got a scholarship for the central sector scheme. I am a 1st year student I didn't get a job with a stipend.

Campus Life

Due to the covid pandemic situation, there are offline classes and there is no annual and tech fest. I see the classroom in a presentation I don't see on campus. A three months ago, there are sports and extracurricular activities. But I can't join because I was in quarantine.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
